RYNE
Reminded me of a bad high school team on the online. Looked like everyone just stood up and hugged. Zero push, zero movement
DurtyBurdz155
Yeah it was bad. But I wont get too worried just because our top 2 backs weren't out there.
A Dog Named Brian
This line still needs some improvements/time we knew that switching to ZBS
Knight of God
The thing about the ZBS. There is NO excuse for that bad play. I put that on the runners as well. The ZBS allows for you to be able to adjust if need be. I saw no adjustments at all.

Maybe our #1 and #2 RB's will be better at it
Knight of God
Any RB off the street will doLOL...I tried to explain its just not so. Even the Cowboys are seeing that. They have arguably the best OL in the biz and struggled. You have to have the players and more than just straight line vision, but full scope vision. 4dabirds
The OL play is still not very good. Certainly not improved.

shockerfalcon
Yeah top 2 backs out, new scheme, 2 new starters on o-line. Not really sure what you expected to see in the first preseason game. Now if it looks like this come the 3rd preseason game I'll start to worry. On the positive side as feeble as the run game looked. Play action went pretty smoothly for all 3 qbs

Knight of God
Again, we just switched to a new scheme. If it doesn't show signs of improvement by the 3-4 pre-season game I'll be a little unsettledIt should NOT look that bad even when there is a change. It shouldn't and normally DOESN'T unless you are a HS team. These are professionals. ALL of these guys have played a little in that scheme. GeorgiaBoyz
Our OL as a whole looked fine when it came to run blocking, excluding the center. They got out & zone blocked well but our current backs weren't doing **** with what they had. Need Coleman & Freeman back, saw a lot of plays where either one would have made the cut back & made a play. shockerfalcon
The OL play is still not very good. Certainly not improved.Really because the starters looked a lot better in pass protection which would back an improvement
vel
First game of live action. I expected it to look rough. Not surprised. Now if we look this futile by midseason, I'll be mildly concerned.

These are professionals. ALL of these guys have played a little in that scheme.Play action looked pretty solid for all 3 QB's, couple of backs found some holes occasionally. I think you're expecting a little too much from the first pre-season game with a new offensive scheme and our top backs sidelined.
Romfal
announcers tried to hype up Ford, dude looked terrible to me. Didn't see anything from Ward after he was hyped all camp, idk if he got hurt or what. Jerome Smith is ok. Blocking was concerning but the first team O-line wasn't in long. Antone Smith was my only positive in the run game.
peoriabird
First game of live action. I expected it to look rough. Not surprised. Now if we look this futile by midseason, I'll be mildly concerned. And plus our top 2 runners are hurt. These negative nancies are a downer! Althought I can't understand the Yates love

The ZBS allows for you to be able to adjust if need be. I saw no adjustments at all.ZBS is also a little more complicated than a traditional scheme and our oline needs more time live blocking other teams. The last time we ran it we had one of the best oline coaches ever teaching it... And even then I don't think we looked that great in preseason.
Sponge
I still wouldn't mind Long and/or Mathis on the Oline.
