schwarzenegger321
So it seems that the Eagles are down to one starting quality CB. Starting CB Sheppard went down with an ACL, so the Eagles are going to be going into the Monday night opener with either inexperienced starters or someone they pickup off the street. Couple that with a big question mark at QB and it might be a very happy Tuesday morning after the game.
g-dawg
maybe they will just forfeit.
Absolute
Guess they need to trade for someone...oh well. Chip must think he can just outscore us then...no D needed.
AndySG
Teams always have far too many corners going into training camp. I'm sure there will be vet cuts.
Guest King Jigsaw
Sheppard was their nickel, this isn't a huge loss. Yes, they traded Boykin to the PIT last week because they thought Sheppard was able to hold down the nickel spot, but they aren't exactly screwed. They still have Maxwell and Carroll on the outside, Jaylen Watkins from UF that they took last year will probably be their NB. If nothing else, they could move Carroll to the NB spot and start Eric Rowe across from Maxwell. They've got options, it's not like it's Maxwell that went down. schwarzenegger321
I work in Philly two weeks a month and the Chip Kelley love fest is over. It seems the fans and local media are now really starting to question some of his decisions this past year. A lot of people think that Sanchez is going to beat out Bradford and now people are really starting to question the defense.
1989Fan
Looks like giving away Boykin wasnt such a great move by the mastermind.
Dem Birds
None of them can stop Roddy and Julio anyway so no worries
schwarzenegger321
They are talking about moving Carroll to the Nickel spot. At least that's what their saying on the local sports radio. Not sure why.
1989Fan
I think Kelly just takes whatever the common sense move is, and does the opposite.

schwarzenegger321
Yeah, I heard that Rowe is now getting reps at starting CB. Kelley is getting busted hard on the Radio for that. It seems he is not performing well at camp. About what you would expect from a rookie I guess.

FentayeJones
Byron Maxwell is gonna get exposed - no Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor to fall back on this year.

AtlantaFanatic
hmm they signed Freddie Martino. hope he didn't study our playbook too hardYou can study all you want but when Julio torches Maxwell and Roddy is lined up against a rookie corner and then Hardy/Hank are lined up against scrubs, it's not the playbook they will be thinking about.I have a friend who's an Eagles fan and he's going to be watching the game with me so I really really want to see us win this one. He's had injury concerns the past 2 years and last year wasn't able to get separation like how he used to. A good example would be the Vikings game where he got blanketed by Josh Robinson, who's not a good corner, and isn't even a solid corner. They may have lost Sheppard and traded away Boykin, but the title thread is very misleading. They still have Byron Maxwell, Nolan Carroll, Jaylen Watkins, and Eric Rowe... and that group, while not all that great on paper, is still probably better than the pathetic group of corners they were starting last year. If Maxwell went down and they were starting Carroll on Julio and Rowe or Watkins on Roddy with Hardy and Hank going against the other? Yeah, that would be a massacre and Julio would go 10-150-3 on the game. That isn't the case though and people shouldn't act like losing a 6th round pick that probably was their starter at NB is going to give us that game in week 1. Mr. Hoopah!
In other non-TATF news, Geno Smith is out 6-10 weeks with a broken jaw after one of his teammates sucker punched him in the face in the locker room. The teammate was immediately released.

Makes me glad that sh*t doesn't fly around here. If someone broke Ryan's jaw and we had to roll with Renfree at the beginning of the year, I think Quinn would end up in jail for doing much worse. Remember he wasnt that in seattle last yr. It will be interesting to say the least how this goes.
