Sponge
Collins is Alford 2.0 but with more upside.
Knight of God
yep, coaches pretty much yell at potential, people they feel are worth the yelling. when they ignore you; if you aren't already a proven player, then worryif coaches are giving you a hard time, don't worry. You'll get it.Start worrying when they go quiet.THIS!!!
hjerry
1st comes the yelling, then the quietness. We're just in phase 1 first. We have yet to hit phase 2, but it's coming. The guy isn't cut out for this. I said that when we drafted him. There was a reason why he didn't start too many games at lsU, I said that too.He didn't start b/c there were younger guys that were better than him.The fact that a team starts an "A" player, doesn't suggest that the "B" player is thus bad. The lsU fans would even tell you this down here. We could have done a lot better with this pick. And he WAS beat out because he was/is bad. kiwifalcon
I knew he was a big project when we drafted him. He'll be like Alford, he'll have plenty of growing pains. But at least Quinn's scheme is more simple, so that may speed up the learning curve. Don't expect him to be Trufant though, Trufant has elite foot and hip movement. When talking about Tru for me is his competitiveness I noticed this at the drills before the combine there is NO give up in Tru.Julio will burn him play and for Tru he'salready forgot about it adjusts and makes the next play.Alot of CB's say you have to have a short memory but for me there are very few in the league like the above maybe a handful.I'm just thankful we have one. Tuggle'2
Hageman of CBsWill probably flash in limited time this year, but, if given the effort, from both him and the coaches, should be much improved next year.Yep. I am in noway expecting instant impact. I have said it before and I stick by it, but I think by year 3 he will be a very good corner. He will have time to get stronger, and learn. We have the coaches now who are perfect for this type of player. It actually has me pretty excited.

Tuggle'2
Also, quite frankly a lot (not all) of those saying he is going to be terrible and was a wasted pick are the same ones who do it every year pretty much solely because they're chapped about not getting the guy they wanted at that pick. People, well especially me, don't forget this stuff. I do remember and it really makes it easy to never listen to them or take them seriously. youngbloodz
You people will complain about anything. And half of you probably couldn't crack the starting lineup on JV. Sorry Tuggle but all their crying is annoying

trubirdfan4life
They only coach you hard whe they got big plans for you. He will be fine....he is a rookie, just taking his lumps. He is learning how to be a professional cornerback. This is the process.

AtlantaFanatic
From my understanding Cornerback is probably the hardest position on the field to come in and succeed at right out of college after QB. Did you guys expect Jalen Collins to come in and be Trufant right off the bat? If so that's an expectation problem on your end not a talent problem on Collin's end. Hageman looked like hot garbage at this time last year. Bryan Cox was yelling at him every 3 seconds. Now he's coming into his second year and seems to be a wrecking ball who has matured. Give it time people. Sheesh. You're all going to die of aneurisms before the season starts.

Makes you look like a class A jerk right off the bat. (you meaning these certain posters, not you Tugs, obviously)
