First-year Falcons coach Dan Quinn learned plenty from Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. One thing Quinn learned is that Pete Carroll likes to play a little more James Brown at practice than Quinn prefers.

That’s one of the things Quinn said during his appearance on Friday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio.

Quinn also talked about his transition to coach, the transition of quarterback Matt Ryan to a new offense, and the extent to which Quinn studied the failures of recent Falcons teams in order to prepare for a new era.

We recommend that you transition from reading to listening to the entire interview. And you can do that simply by clicking the thing in the thing below.

I was surprised by Florio's optimism about the Falcons at the end.

A lot of the usual suspects think we are a sub 8-8 team.

that's to be expected we are coming off consecutive disastrous seasons. On paper we look like a changed improved team but we still have to go out their and prove it. After the last 2 years I'd be ok with 8-8 although looking at our schedule I'd be surprised if we didn't win 10 games if healthy
