A number of players and coaches are currently battling a stomach bug that has developed throughout the building and the illness kept Vic Beasley Jr. and Justin Hardy from participating in practice.

Head coach Dan Quinn told the media following practice on Thursday that a stomach bug has plagued some of his players and members of the coaching staff. Quinn doesn’t seem to be too concerned with the illness and is optimistic about the return.

“I think everyone is on their way back up. It was one of those ones where we live this close together, it’s kind of like ‘OK, I don’t feel good, and now you don’t either,’” Quinn said. “But everyone is doing well and they are on their way back up and hopefully they will be back for the walk-through tonight. “

Aside from the stomach bug, another injury occurred at practice on Thursday. Running back Devonta Freemanicon-article-link.gif left the field with strained hamstring. Quinn is hopeful that with Freeman’s competitive personality, he will have a quick turnaround.

“(Devonta) is such a passionate competitor and you saw how disappointed he was to not be out here, so hopefully we will get him back soon,” Quinn said.
