marvinthemartian
Is there ever a time when you are simply and totally overcome by the pure AWESOMENESS that is football? It starts happening to me about this time every year.

FentayeJones
I have to admit - DQ and his staff seem to have the players and fanbase pumped up. All of this energy is gonna have to translate into some wins though.

SyCo
it kind of relates in my mind to taking a fishing trip. all you can think about for weeks/months is the trip you've been planning. the closer it gets the more excited you are. it's going to be great. it finally arrives, the first day you catch nothing, but blame the weather. second day nothing, and start to get worried. day three you land some small fish that you're not sure what it is, but the arrow is pointing up.days 4 through 7 you catch nothing, have become covered in poison oak, and twist your ankle. the ride home you're beating yourself up about the money you've waisted and time spent. but cant wait to do it again next year
marvinthemartian
Hey Cap, hope all is well. I am on the board everyday. I don't post a whole lot but I read a lot. Planning on being more of an active poster this year:)
Radiohead
I used to, but now I'm overwhelmed with cautious optimism.
Absolute
Every season! I coach football too so when we start OTAs in July after our spring football season ends I get my fix early!
Falcons_Frenzy
No offense to other sports but football is the absolute best. Nobody does it better than the NFL. You don't need to have a ton of season games. In the NFL, each game is so much more important because you only have 16. You also don't need to play the same team 4-7 times in a playoff format to see who's better. One game to determine the winner = ultimate rush. Tuggle'2
Yeah I get pumped every year, even when we knew we sucked for years and years. I can't help it. My fiancé even says I get more chipper and more energetic this time of year. She always gives me crap that how come she doesn't do it too. lol
TheFalcoholic
I love football. It definitely does something to me. The thing is, if I didn't follow the team throughout the offseason, I wouldn't be interested when fall came. For me, it's all about the building of the roster, the preparation, speculation, anticipation, and then seeing if it's all gonna pay off. Sponge
I'm pumped up and ready to be deflated, with a dash of hope.
Mega Flare
At this point, any football is good football. Overwhelmed just realizing how excited I am to see preseason games, after the longest off-season in human history. I imagine most fans feel that way leading up to week 1, then back to reality for half of them
Grrrillapmpn Inc.®
This was the first off season I tuned out, and ya knew what? It didn't seem as long as usual. Getting that football itch now tho.
A Dog Named Brian
That moment when you thought Peterpiper had struck again......
JayOzOne
There is no off season. Thanks to the Information Superhighway, I learn more each year and my hopes are fed out bled based on what I see the team do between February and August. Right now, I'm pumped but I was also pumped for the draft and Quinn being hired. So I guess I get pumped for football when I want up every day but I get really hyped just at kickoff time of the first pre-season game, building up until our first loss during the regular season. FalconFanSince1970
Get pumped when the real bullets start flying. Stay pumped til the final snap. Unless it's a 34-3 blow out in a win or go home game against the Panties. Usually one of the last guys on here wanting to win when we're eliminated from the playoffs and the tankers are running rampant. I never tank. Usually btch and moan all offseason about not winning a Lombardi and needing rest.
Knight of God
Absolutely. This year more than others brother!
Des-pool
I'm already feeling it, and with the fresh air and hope in Flowery Branch, it's magnified. I just want to see a defense that can cause turnovers, Rush rush the passer and stop teams on 3rd down. That's not too much to ask, right?? middlegatv
Just when baseball is about to put you into a deep coma, football comes along and snaps you out of it.

Crazy Trav
The energy of this offseason is really pumping me up. Through free agency and the draft I was happy. But seeing training camp, I am ecstatic about how the coaches are utilizing the talent. Compete
