DirtyBird8711
http://walterfootball.com/quarterbackpowerrankings.php 10.image: http://walterfootbal.../MRyan_face.jpg Matt Ryan, Falcons Perhaps it's because he's a bit boring, but Matt Ryan isn't seen as a major stat-producer. However, it might be surprising to hear that in three consecutive seasons, Ryan has accumulated at least 4,500 passing yards. Ryan hasn't been able to lead the Falcons to the playoffs the past two years after appearing in the NFC Championship following the 2012 campaign. However, this is because general manager Thomas Dimitroff decimated the team with terrible draft picks and poor signings in free agency. Excluding Julio Jones and a rapidly declining Roddy White, what exactly does Ryan have to work with?

Draftnut57
Totally disagree with the rating but glad to keep Ryan under the radar.... I like it... But he should be in the top 5 at least.

Dukeduke211
Uh, all the blame doesn't go on the gm in reality. Coaching staff has alot of input.
high impact
Yeah the last Coaching staff sure made a few in game blunders. That sure did cost this team a trip to the payoffs.
PokerSteve
Considering Ryan has been operating out of a scheme where you intentionally try not to win the game, I think he's done a very good job. But as far as lacking weapons to complement him, I think some major strides were made to get him some help for this new season. With even moderate assistance, I think Ryan's stats could be literally through the roof this year.

That sure did cost this team a trip to the payoffs.regardless of who the coach was, the poor drafting and poorer free agent moves over the last 2 seasons cant be overlooked...paying sam baker, drafting holmes, konz, and johnson for the oline. Drafting toilolo and bringing in no one else to replace tony g, going with bierman and osi. Having undrafted linebackers ad your best options...and stephen jackson....mike smith was doomed. He made his mistakes, but lets get real. That team wasnt playoff material

Falcanuck
If Coleman and Devonta can provide some sorr of threat out of the backfield, I predict Ryan has gaudy completion % and TD:INT ratio numbers. Yards are a somewhat empty stat.

youngbloodz
Flacco at 5 makes this list irrelevant and incomplete imo
FenixFalcon
That entire top 10 list is flubbed. Brady is top 3, easily. Manning, Brees and Ryan and better than Flacco, Wilson, Rivers, Romo and Roethlisberger easily. I understand this is going off purely last season, but even with that Ryan was no# 7 in QBR last season. Only Romo and Roethlisberger beat him in those categories aside form the usual top 4, and there's no doubt in my mind Ryan would've outgunned any of them had Julio played all 16 last year and had a decent Oline. WF has Luck at no.2 but his QBR was #13th overall. The only QB in the top 10 on that list that deserves the spot they are in is Rodgers. Draftnut57
What people don't understand is if we just had a middle ranked D# , No telling how far we could have gone in post season last year.. Our O# is at the top of the league. How can people say it's Ryan's fault. That our D# was terrible. This year with at least a middle tier D# , you will now see what he can do.. For instance, everybody knows all Ray Lewis was for his career was Joplo Bartu with some Joe Flacco leadership whamma jamma dust sprinkled on him. Ray Lewis and that Baltimore defense would have been AtlantaFalcons2014Defense 2.0 without Flacco all of these years.
Dukeduke211
coaches pick players, gm gets them for the coaches imo... it was just made more public this year to cool off some of the hate for td. is he perfect? no. he is getting the players the coaching staff decides would help the team. what do you guys want from him? does ozzie newsome pick players and say here you go coach? idk, neither do yall. cherry hoe is ryan elite? has is offensive line ever been elite? mr2 is a fine qb. I am happy to have him. blow up this year. rise up.#
Draftnut57
Rodgers Peyton Brady Luck Rivers Big Ben. That's it for meRivers over Ryan???? Not me!
