That's right Homers and Optimists... 20 storylines to get excited about! And screw the Realists and Haters. Don't let them drag your team through the mud with their pathetic insecurities. The past does not decide the future.

You do NOT have to temper expectations and enthusiasm. Get giddy thinking about the season, your favorite players making huge plays, and the thought of this team possibly stomping everybody and breaking records. Put a huge uncontrollable smile on your face. Get that tingle in your gut and turn on that adrenaline that makes you want to bounce up and down and pump your fists. Get as freaking excited as you want and don't feel bad about it one bit. F*** the "Realists" right in the p****!

Let's do this:

1. Quinn's 4-3 Under defensive scheme is going to make all the difference in the world. It starts in camp. Watch him put our guys in positions that play to their strengths, and then watch the players buy in and go from the 32nd ranked defense to a top-15 defense.

2. Shannahan's ZBS and offensive scheme fits our OL and RB personnel like a glove. The OL excels in it better than we imagined and our run-game goes from worst to top-10. And we go from the 8th overall offense to top-3.

3. Matt is going to shut up the naysayers and prove he's elite. It starts in camp as his work ethic and leadership makes everyone around him better. 4,500 yards, 40 TD's, 11 ints.

4. Julio is going to get a new contract and then go for 1,800 yards and 12 TD's just to prove why he's totally worth every penny and make the Trolls eat crow.

5. Our 3 RB's are going to combine for 2,000 yards rushing, 1,000 yards receiving, and 25 TD's. Freeman will lead the way and be vaulted into the spotlight, but Coleman won't be too far behind. Phrases like, "The best RBBC trio in the league." will scroll across the tickers.

6. Beasley pulls a Von Miller and gets 11 sacks this year and a bid for DROY. We're all hoping for 8 and would likely even be satisfied with 6, but he blows away expectations and proves he's what we hoped he was.

7. Clayborn and Reed prove to be the steals of free agency. Each racking up 10 sacks and Reed absolutely dominating run defense with a dozen TFL's.

8. Hageman breaks out and becomes a force on the inside. His constant pressure drives QB's into our edge rushers repeatedly, and he gets 6 sacks himself.

9. Worrilow becomes our Bobby Wagner in Quinn's scheme. He gets fewer tackles than last year, but that's only because the DL is stuffing the run at a much higher clip.

10. Durant shines in this defense and proves he's another steal of free agency. This year he stays healthy and picks up where he left off with pro-bowl leading stats.

11. Trufant becomes the next shutdown corner in this league and earns his first of many to come pro-bowl invites.

12. Collins takes over the Nickel spot permanently and dominates it while Alford and Adams spell each other on the outside opposite Tru. Collins racks up 80 tackles, 9 PD's, and 3 ints while nearly shutting down TE's and slot receivers and becoming a candidate for DROY alongside Beasley.

13. Ricardo Allen surprises everyone with a 6 int, 45 tackle season at FS.

14. Grady Jarrett starts off slow with limited snaps, but by mid-season, he's lining up between Hageman and Clayborn on all passing downs and helping destroy that pocket, getting 4 sacks and solidifying his starting role in 2016.

15. Roddy proves he's no where close to washed up or near the end of his career. He has yet another 1,000 yard season with 10 TD's.

16. Hankerson stays healthy for the entire season and makes some ridiculous acrobatic catches, contributing 600 yards and 4 TD's.

17. Hardy plays the slot like this team has never seen before, catching everything thrown his way and becoming not just a safety valve for Matt, but a bona fide playmaker when we need it.

18. Tamme surprises everyone and proves his good seasons with Manning were no fluke. He can catch and actually run with the ball too.

19. Willie Mo and Ishmael compliment each other at SS perfectly. There's no fall off anymore when Ishmael spells Moore.

20. We go 4-0 in the pre-season because Quinn isn't Mike Smith and winning always matters.

Jarrett won't be lining up between Hags and Clayborn (more likely Hags/TJax) on rushing downs, he's not being groomed for Soliai's role. Can't wait for the season tho and TC is right around the corner

I meant passing downs and changed it before you posted.

That said, this has been debated here plenty. Jerrett played the 1-tech 2-gap NT role at Clemson for 3 downs, both rushing and passing, his entire college career, and he excelled at it. It's too presumptive to say he won't ever do that in Quinn's system. In fact, in the rookie mini-camp a few weeks back, all he played that week was NT, rotating with Mbu.

He's a wrecking ball and I'd like to see him get on the field this season but not sure he sees much time unless an injury hits. Or maybe he beats out Babs on the interior in our pass rush packages but personally I haven't seen Babs slowed by age and I think he's going to have a great year and should be fresh rushing the passer since he won't be in on run downs often

I like threads like this. What is the point of even being a fan of the the team if you can't be allowed to be excited at a time like this.

New Regime

Good draft

Lots of young player with tons of potential

Good Fa moves

Our core player hitting their prime

Great time to be a fan

Are these from someone relevant?

Nope, just the average optimistic fan trying to spread good feeling thoughts. This forum is filled with too much pessimism and it needed something positive to balance the mojo.

Try thinking about our DL destroying a QB or Coleman breaking off a 70 yard run. It feels good. Brings a smile to my face. It feels good to feel good about this stuff. My anticipation is getting me pumped. You should try it if you haven't done it in a while or are having a tough time forgetting the past and always trying to protect yourself from disappointment. Nobody likes someone who exudes constant negative vibes.

Dayum! If even half of this happens, the ATL would be like - Wet Dream City!
