heck it took me until Brent grimes second season in Miami to finally prop him up lol

LOL!!! I wasn't high on Grimes until late in the game too. I love Roddy, but I thought he was a high potential guy when he came. Those bad hands tho. I remember starting a thread about trying him at CB...LOL!!! I like the Roddy that figured out how to run great routes the best. I am absolutely high on all of the Quinn era draft picks except for Rodgers. King to a lesser degree. I almost want every guy picked up in the past few years to go.

can't stop what never started lol

Touche. That being said I can understand KOG's stance as we've had that kind of debate before on here when Dunn was here as far as RB styles. I do have to say though I can't understand not hopping on the Roddy train after the career he put up after those first couple of years.

hey, everyone isn't the same. Some jump on bandwagon just because. Others are fans of certain players from the start. Others just choose to like who they like and not jump on wagons due to overwhelming popularity

I like all of Quinn's new guys. Thankfully Biermann doesn't fall in that category.

I really wanted to argue with you so I could feel like my modship was official but I can actually get down with this.

P.S. Your new avatar is stupid.

Yes I did. I hate the Cowboys. That one is easy. Although Emmitt was in that size range I love. 5'9" 215lbs and up. Sorry, nice try tho.

JPowers, I also like very fast guys.

EDIT: Its not just size in the sense of height and weight. Its also size in the sense of HOW YOU PLAY. He plays like a small guy...lol. Emmitt did not.

Freeman is 5'8" 210 LB

Freeman is 5'8" 210 LB

I know what size he is man. He's actually 209, but 210 is close enough. Emmitt's biggest size was 225lbs but was listed at 216lbs. My point is, he plays like he's 185lbs without the speed factor. ;)

Again, I know just about every size on this team and several on other teams my man. Its a part of the hobby.

Folks said the same thing when Brian Westbrook backed up Duce Staley and look what happened. Brian and Freeman are ultra similar to me.

I don't know of anyone who did that brometheus. Most I knew were sure Westbrook would eventually take over. Westbrook had something most RB's in his day didn't have...he ran with a lot of power for a smaller back as well as having mass amounts of vision. He also had long speed. His 40 wasn't anything to get excited over, but he had incredible long speed. That second gear.

I can see the similarity here, but I still don't see it. Their running styles are completely different. I still see Freeman as more like a Kevin Faulk or Derrick Blaylock.

Westbrook was very underrated. He is in my mind the prototype for the modern scat back. Andy Reid had a multi tail back system and Westbrook was mainly a return man and special teamer. Dude had to fight his way on the field and no one knew he would be a bonafied starter until he was forced into the lineup due to injury and Reid mainly used him in the passing game at first....

FREEMAN will be the starting RB. He can run, catch and pass block and he is a great fit for our ZB scheme.

No

I see Coleman as an outstanding complement to Freeman and they both will get plenty of carries, Freeman will unquestionably be the starter though, and he should really thrive. Coleman has such incredible exposion theres no way you keep him on the bench (unless you coach under Mike Smith)

I dig that you enjoy making bold statements gazoo, but c'monnnnnnn.....

Freeman is UNQUESTIONABLY the starter? Based on what exactly - his play last year?

Freeman may end up winning the job but there is ZERO opportunity now for you (or anyone else in TATF) to know who will be the starter -much less the unquestioned starter.

You are guessing...

I remember very well, but like I said. I know guys in the league. The first I heard about him was he was going to blow up. I stand by what I have said. To me Freeman is more like Derrick Blaylock and Kevin Faulk...also very underrated. I can't see the Westbrook comparison. If I'm wrong, fine...I just sincerely doubt it. I like him as a back-up, but the more convos I have about him the more I wish we hadn't drafted him.
