Guest
Hmm who would have known, but I'm not too shocked. It won't be long before other schools names begin to pop up. I'd wager.
Volunteer Falcon
I'm glad these issues are being dealt with and not swept under the rug. I would also like to see a list of the other 120 universities that are being investigated.

I would also like to see a list of the other 120 universities that are being investigated. I'll just say this it will be schools both big and small. My school was super small like most people have no idea where it is right now as speak. If it happened there you best believe............matter of fact they need to stop beating around the bush. It could be around 200-400 universities before this is over with. This might be unpopular opinion, but if some of these cases are like what happened at my school. It's one of those WTF were you there for at random time of the night etc.
SacFalcFan
they picked the right 3 schools to investigate due to their recent issues with rape/sexual assault.. it will be interesting to see what comes from this investigation and what is actually done about this. are they looking at criminal charges or just wanting to find out how it was all handled. I believe the schools that have the bigger issues would be vandy and fsu because the administration and even local police staff got involved. i don't believe the vol's have that same concern. this investigation may be why the FSU president met with the staff and the players about the bad off the field behavior. that's a very unusual step for a President to get that involved in stuff like that. youngbloodz
I honestly can see this as an issue at all colleges across the nation. One case is too many
SacFalcFan
I honestly can see this as an issue at all colleges across the nation. One case is too many they are also looking for programs that had interference as well not just one case, but how were those cases handled. that's a big part of the issue with the reporting of these type of offenses. less than half of rapes in this country are actually reported and if those that are reported aren't properly handled then you will see even more rapes or domestic violence cases not be reported. i really wonder how many schools do proper training on how to handle it. it's just not with schools, even local law enforcement is dropping the ball. yesterday it was reported 2 out of 10 rape kits received in atlanta for instance are actually processed.. the other 8 are not. if they are going to investigate this stuff that is something that needs to be rectified as well. i don't have to explain how impt it is to process those kits. One case is too manyTrust me before long UA, AU, all of SEC country will be brought into this won't be long at all. Yes that includes Georgia and even Georgia Tech. These cases get swept completely under the rug, and again just going to a party etc. Man so much crap happens there, and I honestly believe that's what they'll find out. SacFalcFan
they are already investigating 135 cases on 121 campuses and it's not just d1.. you have 4,168 colleges in the US. they are focusing on the already seen cases out there regarding rape/sexual abuse. with over 4k worth of colleges it would be interesting to see how many have rape cases out there have been handled or are currently being handled. That's why I said this even happened at the school I went to. Trust me it's an HBCU something that doesn't register for most people. When this is all said and done all I expect is that basically guys/girls take advantage of people partying too much etc. The unpopular opinion from me though is that some of these cases are legit, and others are just like WTF were you doing at etc time there? I saw that happen a good bit my first year back in 2008 at college.
