Door Gunner
noun1. an individual, organization, institution, etc., considered to be exempt from criticism or questioning. Was just wondering which players will be deemed sacred cows this year if QUINN starts them. I think Hawley is the front runner this year. Who are some others that could make the list? wleggett
I predict Biermann gets 20+ mentions in this thread. Carry on.

GTBF54
Hawley is the best center we have...... DQ will start the best player and adjust if necessary....
AndySG
The obvious answer to me is Jake. I am a huge fan of the kid, but we all say things like "with our franchise LT" and truth is he struggled last year. He was nowhere near as bad as PFF made out, but his injury is a concern. papachaz
man, I'm doing a brisket on the smoker saturday, that's about the only sacred cow I care about...........I really don't expect to see Quinn show any favoritism, I hope to goodness that left out the door with the previous regime

So I absolutely agree.
Tuggle'2
Quinn is a sacred cow himself. He has no head coaching experience but everyone i know considers him God and fiery. Hope he has a good start or it can get ugly real fastAnyone with any sense of reason and patience will understand there are bumps and bruises that can go along with taking on a new HC position. The only people who will make it ugly are the normal negative blowhards.
Door Gunner
Hawley is the best center we have...... DQ will start the best player and adjust if necessary....I agree. However I have already seen enough that I think many will cry favoritism if Hawley starts. My curiosity is what other players folks think might qualify for the list. Lets say Yates for instance.. If he makes it as the#2 QB. Hard work or sacred cow?

Hope he has a good start or it can get ugly real fastThat's not true. Most here are just optimistic, b/c of his record, and what came before. As for whether he gets dissent, he does. Your an example and you're not alone. Admittedly there are few, but that's b/c most of the Quinn haters became deserters once he was announced. When it was still unclear, there were many arguing against him.

Brewcrew
Dunn?He is universally revered now, but back in the day there were some epic Duckett vs Dunn threads with people shitting all over him for being too small and not enough of a power back. If you mean by the team however... Yeah, maybe.

k-train
I'd say Roddy White.Yes, he's done a lot for this team, but what matters isn't what he did in the past but what he is doing now & can do next year, the year after, etc.I know he's got some gas left in the tank, but I think if he struggles a good bit this season yet still gets to stay at #2 on the depth chart... and thus causing guys with upside to get fewer meaningful in-game opportunities... that is definitely a sacred cow scenario I do not want to see. I remember the Chicago game in particular, he was getting manhandled. I think a younger, wresting champ Roddy would have taken those a bit better.
