I would take Luck over Peyton on a one-year deal every day of the week. If I had to choose "elite" quarterbacks then it would be Rodgers and Brady at the moment, with Luck just behind them. Peyton and Brees have both declined a decent amount, in my opinion.

I agree, but I would also take MR over Peyton now as well.

All of Ryan's loses have been to eventual super bowl winners/runner ups

Out of Matt Ryan's 5 Playoff games, 2 were against the Super Bowl Champions and 2 more against the Super Bowl contender. 1 was against a wild card team.

Out of Flaccos 15 Playoff games, only 2 were against the Super Bowl Champions, 3 against Super Bowl contenders and 6 were against wildcard teams

In playoffs Ryan played the Super Bowl teams 80% of the games and a wild card team 20% of the games.

In playoffs, Flacco played against Super Bowl teams 33% of the games and wildcard teams a whopping 40% of the games

Their numbers are very different. Very

Same amount of pass TD's with Luck throwing 5 more INT's. Luck has thrown for almost 600 more yards too. I guess you can say that 443 against KC is a big reason for that discrepancy in yardage, but he threw 3 INT's in that game as well.

I don't think comparing Ryan's 5-7th seasons with Luck's first 3 years in the league portray an accurate picture of the truth. No, that's just skewing the data.

Luck took off last year. Took off. Dude is elite.Lest we also forget about his rushing numbers...

You can't compare numbers between Luck and Manning, or Luck and Ryan, because they all played in different situations during their first 3 years in the league. Ryan was in a run first system run through Turner, Luck is in a pass first system where the ball is in his hands practically every play. Of course Luck will have better numbers, regardless of whether or not he's a better player. Manning played in a different league when he first came in, so that's not comparable.
