He's already surpassed Ryan

and that's where we disagree

The stat sheet, game day performances, playoff record, and analysts are all in agreement

There's nothing wrong with admitting that there's a better QB in the league

I happen to think Ryan -is- elite. There have been many times in the past when we could only hope we could get a QB like Ryan. To finally have one is terrific. But some here, I dunno...I reckon Ryan would have to leave to be appreciated around here...by being missed. The bad news on our team is the O line. I think the ZBS is a desperate move to turn some of our scrub linemen into NFL-quality players. And I am afraid our pass blocking will not get better, and Ryan will still not be able to let the deep routes develop. Finally, the LBs. Not feeling the love there. Reed is good, but he does not have Watt in front of him anymore. Durant gets a lot of tackles, but what we need are big plays...TO's, pressures, sacks. Worrilow is in the same category as Durant. For our Falcons to have a successful season? Our draftees from the last three drafts have to step up...our FAs from the last two seasons have to play up to their contracts...our O line has to be much improved in all areas...and we have to avoid injuries. Not sure that can all happen at once.

Tuggle'2, my philosophy is...if the majority of folks here, like me or approve of my posting? Then I must be doing something wrong...:P I have -very- strong views about what has been wrong with this Falcons franchise, and I have strong views on how to fix it. KOG, MSalmon, Romfal, and FFS1970 are among the folks here that I agree with almost all the time. We seem to be thinking along the same lines. My biggest Falcons concern is, our FO looks to be wasting Ryan's career.

Naw, you're great man.

A common misconception around here is people are "picked on" or "silenced" due to their opinion on the team. That is far from the truth. People can hate the team and everyone in it all they want and voice their displeasure all they want. It is actually welcomed as it sparks conversation. That BS is just a cop out people use when trying to steer blame away from themselves and the real reason why an Admin had to step in. Everyone knows what they can and cannot do, we all should have been taught it at an early age.

Stopped reading after that first few lines. I respect Tuggle too much not to, and even if I didn't like him, I'd probably still stop reading there. Starting off a post with something like that just proves that nothing you have to say would be worth reading anyway.

Grow up kid. wink.png

I'm talking from now to the future. Of course career wise Manning is superior but as of now give me Luck.

In recent history Manning was in the SB two years ago. Luck never has been. If you're talking future you shouldn't call him elite, you should say you're projecting him to be elite one day.And by your criteria shouldn't Wilson be Elite? He's been in two SB's and won one in recent history.

Nah man I just can't bring myself to say Manning is elite. Sure he can pad the stats but he just can't get it done when it matters

I think the definition varies from person to person. I believe an elite player is any guy who can go to another team and automatically make that team a contender. By my definition Brady and Manning are the only elite QBs in the game. Manning goes above Brady cause the Pats going 11-5 without him shows it's more the system then the QB but there's no denying his greatness.
