My bad.

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. -- One of the top prospects in the class of 2017, Jamyest Williams, is one of seven players invited to participate at The Opening in Beaverton, Oregon this week. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete from Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer is still early in the process but is ready to narrow down his choices to 10 schools.

"My top 10 in order is Clemson, Florida State, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Auburn, Oklahoma, Stanford, Michigan State, Georgia and Tennessee," Williams said. "Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Arizona and Baylor are also in it but they aren't in any order."

Williams, who said he will likely make a decision after his junior season, said he and his family feel like he's a good fit at any of the schools on his list.

"I feel those top 10 schools are the best fit for me," Williams said. "I've visited all of those schools except Stanford. I just think all of those schools are just a great fit for me, and my family have talked over it and we just liked all of those schools. I feel like I could build my life with those schools because college isn't just four years, it's for the next 40 years of my life.

"I think I have to wait the process out and really evaluate the schools on my list. I have 37 offers so I just wanted to narrow my list down and focus on just those schools."

A strong relationship with the Clemson coaching staff is the main reason the Tigers are on top of his list.

"I like Clemson so much because I really like the coaching staff. I like the relationship with them. Every time I talk to coach [Mike] Reed, it feels like I'm talking to my dad because that's what kind of guy he is," Williams said. "He's a hard-working guy, he know's technique and he played in the league. I love the academics and the academic program they have there. It's just a great program."

Much like Clemson, the Florida State coaches have also made a big impression on the big-time athlete.

"Coach Kelly and coach Fisher are great guys," Williams said. "Every time I go down there to Tallahassee, I just loved being down there and the environment is great; their academic program is phenomenal."

Williams still plans to visit Auburn, Georgia, FSU and possibly Florida this summer.

Do we have a realistic chance for Gary from NJ

yes we have a realistic shot. we recruit nationally very well and we are definitely in the mix. will we get him? no idea.. we are getting Derrick Brown.. I don't see us getting Gary, but i wouldn't put anything past this staff.. they are kicking butt.
