Sidecar Falcon
My birthday recently just past, and my wonderful girlfriend bought us tickets for the Carolina game on December 27th. I wanted to make this trip great, does anyone have recommendations on different sites/places I should visit.
AndySG
Pleased for you, man. I have only been to Falcons @ Giants and Lions "@" Falcons (Wembley) so I'm envious of you going to the Dome.

Falcanuck
When I visited ATL I went to the G aquarium, world of coke, CNN, MLK tour and saw the cyclorama by the zoo. Also saw a game. Came away very happy.

Moist Words
Cyclorama is closed, and will be moved to new building in downtown. All the previously mentioned places are very close together. One other nearby place you must visit is the Varsity, a drive in restaurant famous for it's chili dogs. It sells more Coca Cola than any other restaurant in the world, and is located next to Georgia Tech. You can go inside or eat in your car.I didn't know that about Cyclorama. Where are they moving it to?Also I'll catch some flack for this but The Varsity is overrated if you ask me.

It's being moved to the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead. And yes, the Varsity is overrated. It may be "iconic" but there are tons of better eating establishments in Downtown/Midtown/Buckhead alone. MasterBateser
I would recommend The Varsity when i ask people about it they either absolutely love it or come away disappointed. If you have time for lunch i say go haha

Atlfanstckndenver
I too, like you was excited to go to the most recent Falcons game..... But I have a suspicion this game will be better. Have fun man. I went to the aquarium, which is pretty cool if you haven't been yet. Edit:I totally agree that the varsity is overrated. It's strictly a novelty. Unless you're actually looking for average but overpriced fast food. Edited July 5, 2015 by Atlfanstckndenver
Navin
Mary Mac's is really good Southern food. The Capital Grille is a good place to eat if you don't want home cooking and want a nice restaurant.

Navin
If you want to treat your girlfriend for being so nice, take her to The Chicken Salad Chick. It's a girlie soup and sandwich lunch type place. My wife loves it. Definitely a chick place though.
PK Manley
The Sun Dial, the revolving restaurant/bar at the top of the Westin Peachtree plaza, is a cool place to get some drinks.Awesome views of the city if you go on a clear day.ETA: Also a great hotel to stay at if you haven't booked it yet. I have been going up there for that since I was a baby. My grandmother used to take us up there and get us virgin daiquiri's growing up until I finally got to have a real drink there. Was on my list. lol

Better make sure you have your debit card, though. You're not getting $5 chicken fingers from that place...
