Falcons Should Get A Lombardi In Next 5 Years.

Recommended Posts

The Falcons division just plain sucks right now. If we cant make the play-offs in a division with a New Orleans team that is in salary cap ****, a Tampa team that is still rebuilding, and a Carolina team that has a great defense but no offense. Then we need to hang it up. There are no excuses as to why we cant get this done. Just like the Patriots for the last 10 years have had it easy in a watered down division with loser teams like Buffalo, New York, and Miami. Falcons have about a three to five year window before New Orleans rebuilds. And outside of Seattle, Philly, and Green Bay the rest of the whole NFC is trash.

It does not take 3-5 years to rebuild a team, especially with intelligent people in charge. That's the beauty of the NFL. We could wind up 3-13 and the Saints could win the Super Bowl. It's not likely, but it could happen. Predicting what will happen this season is difficult enough, 3 years from now both of our teams will be completely different.

30 minutes go by, nobody takes the bait. Troll logs in to alt account to reply:

Next three,or it might not happen in the lifetime of the more senior fans in here... and it would be tragic if we end up wasting Ryan..

I honestly think OP has the IQ of a peanut and thinks what he is doing is somehow clever...

We shoulda already got one in 2012....hard to phantom a better opportunity than that...

Agreed, that was our time. I'd be willing to say we'll be in better shape next year over this year, but I'm hoping we can make the playoffs and make noise this year. Our team's scheme on both sides of the ball are completely revamped and we have the element of surprise. All we need is execution by the players.

We can win our crappy division but we still have to play really good teams in the playoffs. I also don't think Carolina is going to go down anytime soon. A few pieces and they will have a decent offense.

Not to mention they've owned us lately. We are 1-4 against them in our last five games with the lone win being a two point squeaker that their kicker missed a game winner in. Of course the last time we played them was in a win or go home game on our field. They beat the hail out of us 34-3 and we went home.

I would say the next 3 years. Our road begins this season and I think we establish our new brand of football. We'll come short but I think we'll make the playoffs.

With our new style and our well respected head coach I have faith we'll become a desired landing spot for soon to be free agents.

Soon enough we'll be proud of our team again!
