Positive Thinker
Happy to say I will be in front of the TV tonight with IPad in hand offering my expert analysis on this thread on a play by play basis. Looking forward to a Braves win! Can I get a hurrah?

Positive Thinker
What is Frediot's fascination with running a different lineup out there every night?I'm starting think Fredi is on order from management to do whatever he can to sabotage the season. No one can really be that clueless, can they? The fact that the Braves are in contention was not something management wanted nor expected. Fredi's lineup changes make Bobby Cox's platoon system seem rigid by comparison. Players get moved around so much they never settle in to a role. I mean, if Markakis isn't the model #2 hitter I don't know who is. Put a high OBP guy in front of him and let him move runners. That said, he would even work in the #3 hole In this weak lineup. Positive Thinker
Fredi's LineupPetersonE.PerezMarkakisC.JohnsonUribeSimmonsGomesLavarnwayW.PerezPathetic. Gomes and E.Perez are garbage. I offer this lineup:Peterson 2BMaybin CFMarkakis RFUribe 3BK. Johnson LFSimmons SSTerdoslavich 1BLavarnway CW.Perez PAnd leave it that way until Freddie comes back, then insert him in clean up, take out Terdo, and move KJ and the rest down. Then you have:Peterson MaybinMarkakisFreemanUribeKJ SimmonsLavarnway/AJAnd LEAVE it that way. Edited June 26, 2015 by Servant
Falconsfan567
Its no surprise that the lineup is right-handed heavy tonight against Liriano.

Gomes is in no way a better option than Kelly Johnson. E. Perez is in no way a better option than Maybin. Clearly more talent, so why not play them? ...And if you are saying they don't hit as well against leftys, then how are they supposed to get better at it if you never play them against lefties? Unknøwn
McDowell is worth his paycheck. Sugar Ray is on the 40 man where as Carpenter, Weber etc arent on the 40 man so they arent ready to make a move to clear a spot I guess. Banuelos is on the 40 man already but they arent ready to promote him.

Falconsfan567
There are worse than Mac, I admit.Roger McDowell is widely considered one of the best pitching coaches in baseball. There's a reason that teams have tried to steal him away from the Braves over the years. The Braves pitching staff rankings in his year have bared that out. Roger McDowell is not the reason for the increase of injuries to pitchers, especially when pitcher injuries are at an all-time high right now all across baseball. They are learning to throw hard, not to pitch.
