please don't judge us.

Not judging, just observing. It's pretty well known that our fan base isn't the largest or most supportive when it comes to these voting things. We don't have the size fan base of the Cowboys or Steelers, we all know that. We also have a bit more casual fan base in large part - although we absolutely have many passionate, extremely "fanatical" fans, just not as many as the more "popular" teams have. Which is why I say it's rare one of our players wins recognition for voting.

While you guys are free to vote as you wish, I just wish you wouldn't announce it in a thread trying to get support for one of our players. It kind of leads credence to the claims of fans of other teams about our fan base and the support - and it gets others to chime in. Soon, it becomes a thread about why not to vote for our player instead of a plea for support of one of our players who did something unique and special.

if anyone turns simple comments into a worthless arguments, it's ignorance on their behalf. Can't speak for anyone else but I'm only a Falcons fan, no loyalty to every player. If I see a better performance, I'm gonna vote on it and not be ashamed to say who I voted for cause it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. If you took offense or took it as disrespect to the player on the Falcons, apologies

You've been here long enough to know about how things get turned into arguments on the boards. I don't want this one to be, so I apologize for bringing it up. No apologies necessary from you either - let's just forget I mentioned anything.

He'll retire as a Bear anyway. Same with his HoF induction if he's nominated.

HOF induction will include all teams he ever played for - Bears and Falcons. No one team is represented in HOF for football.

The Falcons have the following players in the HOF representing them and every other team they took the field with:

Eric Dickerson 1993

Chris Doleman 1994-1995

Claude Humphrey 1968-1978

Tommy McDonald 1967

Deion Sanders 1989-1993

When Tony G. goes in (and he will) and when and if Hester goes in - both will be representing not only the team that drafted them, but the Falcons as well.

As for retiring, that's possible. They might sign him back for a day or something and then let him retire - or they might not. KC didn't sign Gonzo back. He's retired as a Falcon.

.

it's no problem. I know what you're saying and how silly some people act over something that small. Had Thompson not been in the category I wouldn't have had a problem voting Hester lol.

I understand that but what I'm saying is he considers himself a Bear when it's all said and done. And his jersey will be retired at Soldier Field.
