Quinn On Dimitroff

Recommended Posts

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this. Has anyone noticed that just about every time Dan Quinn talks to the media, it seems that he spends almost as much time kissing Dimitroff's @$$, than he does talking football. Don't get me wrong I have high hopes for Quinn. I also think Dimitroff should have been the first of the Falcons staff to be fired with all the blunders he made in drafts and mostly free agency.

Maybe they just work good together. You're probably stuck on how things were when smitty was here. I don't see a way td can win, the times he messed up people go out of there way to let it be known but when he does something good people don't use that say go out of their way to praise him. He can't win...

And the funny part is when Smith messed up, People forgave him even though he continued to get worse and worse the longer he stayed. Curious.

Like I have said many times before since the regime change, the reset button has been pushed for me. Everybody goes back to zero including Dimi and he has started out looking pretty good with this FA and draft. Yes, Pioli and Quinn deserve credit too, but it would be extremely naive to totally dismiss TD's input.

Also curious PeoriaBird how exactly does a coach stay with a franchise 6 years, start off stating he wants to run the football, play good defense and control the clock and win his first 4 years having better season than ANY other coach in Falcon history yet the last two seasons he has no offensive line and suddenly he starts throwing the ball 40 times a game. Did Smith just wake up in 2012 and forget how to coach did he just wake up in 2012 after a 13-3 season and decide to change his whole identity and go completely opposite of what he had done the first 4 years? Funny. Think there is more to story. I think the Falcons problems are still sitting in Flowery Branch.

I agree with you but you'll never get these TD huggers to admit it......

Pioli was put in charge of acquiring players for a reason otherwise if TD was worth a buffalo fart he'd still be doing it. Fortunately for us he's in charge of video, equipment, salary cap, wiping ABs butt, filling in for McKay. Oh yeah he has more for riding his bike

TD is still in charge of the draft and FA

Would you publicly criticize your "Boss"? I know, I wouldn't, regardless of how I really felt about him ---- especially, if I wanted to keep my job!

I think, Dan Quinn is a very smart guy (on, AND off the field), and he's just easing into things here, and doesn't want to "rock the boat"..... which is the smart thing to do, imo.

TD has some good points, and some not-so-good points --- but, I think we could do a lot worse in the GM category.

Pioli and Quinn actually make TD better, and I think he has learned a lot from them, and is still "growing" as a GM --- I wish him, and my team, the best of luck in the future, 'cause right now, that's all we have to hang our hat on ---

Another forum for the stone throwers to exercise in there glass houses.

Good god TD is probably the best GM in this franchises history and has been a huge part of the success that proceeded.

For the most part all these stone throwers must'nt have been around the previous 40 years of this franchise's history because if they took that into account TD in most cases gets a pass.

I've been a falcon fan since 1975. TD gets credit for drafting Matt Ryan and hiring the winningest coach in falcon history. BUT it's pretty obvious to anyone with an open mind that he did a sorry job of acquiring defensive talent especially pass rushers and overall quality depth and don't have much to show for it after 8 yrs. However he is ABs yes man and no longer in charge of acquiring the players.

You (or somebody) already said this almost word for word.
