But he also says hed love to stay in Seattle.Irvin told reporters today that reports that he wants to play for the Falcons have come from people misunderstanding him when he talks about how much he loves his home town.I want to be in Seattle, Irvin said. Obviously, my words got misinterpreted. In 2012 I had a lot of questions before the draft. Pete [Carroll] and John [schneider] stuck their necks out for me and took me in the first round, so why wouldnt I want to be here? Im from Atlanta, my whole family is still in Atlanta. Its every kids dream to play for their home team, but right now Im in Seattle, I love Seattle, and hopefully thats for the rest of my career.Irvin said he was glad to get back to work at the Seahawks minicamp.I woke up happy because I havent been around my brothers, he said. Im like a kid right before Christmas, happy to be back, happy to contribute, happy to handle my business.Irvin will keep doing his business in Seattle. At least until he becomes a free agent in nine months.

Would love to have him here though, if he was sincere in his first statements about wanting to be here.

Bobby.Digital
Obviously he's going to say that now. Still think he comes here as long as we offer him a fair price.

Dirtybird56
There's an old saying I learned from my Papa, money talks and ******** walks.Curious, what does this mean? You hear you/something can "talk the talk, but can you walk the walk". So money is just doing the talking, but when it comes to who is going to step up and do something, the ******** walks. Do we want talking or walking?

FentayeJones
Most likely players that’s coming off of their rookie contract wants to get paid because that second contract might be their last shot at their big pay day.If Seattle don’t re-sign him, I fully expect Irvin to go to the team that’s willing to pay him the most money.
