bigjmw84
He is not much of a defensive player, but he can finish in the post with a soft touch. He brings rebounding we have been missing (5 off reb per game). He excells at the pick and roll and is an impressive passer. His strengths were put to use and he averaged 17pts 11 reb in OKC's system the last 25+ games. Snyder tried to use him as a stretch 4 in Utah when he is clearly a 5. Kanter is 23 years old and will only improve. While I like Millsap, I cant justify paying him 15m per for the next 4 seasons when he 30 years old and sure to decline before his contract ends. Horford would be able slide to the 4 where be could do more damage offensively. Horford has always just been average with his back against basket. With this change he would get more opportunities from 15-18 ft where he is lighgs out. He also wouldnt have to take a beating physicaly night in and night out at Center allowing him to be more effective down the stretch. We have truly lacked big we could count on to score in the post for ages. A move for Kanter would fix that. Bringing in Edy over to be our rim protecter helps balance out Center depth along with Moose.
WOR
Kanter would have been nice as a 6th man. Making him a starting center really doesn't do anything. It's the same team we've got now. Center who doesn't defend well, but is good offensively? Sounds like Horford. PF who is good from range, but doesn't have many post moves(Horford)? Sounds like Millsap. bigjmw84
Im just saying Kanters low post scoring would help free us up on the outside as well as give us more balance. As successful as Horford has been at C,he has clearly been miscast forever.Although he lacks a good post up game, he would be able to play more to his strengths at PF. Gregg Monroe fits into the same category in my oppinion, and either could be nice additions if we. Hose to go that route.

KRUNKuno
Bogut, Green, Ezeli. All great defenders and shot blockers.Bogut got benched because his presence wasn't needed. Green is a player that stretches the floor. Good defense but not a rim protector. Azeli was a solid bench guy.The only player out of that bunch that made a difference was Green because he can shoot. You dont need a rim protector in the NBA these days. Please tell me the last team that won a championship because of their great rim protector. Shaq was the last of the breed to actually make a difference and a lot of that had to do with his offensive game as well. The game is built for shooters these days. WOR
Al Horford as a center>>>enes Kanter. He offers no significant improvement to be honest.
Guest
We got to make moves somewhere regardless, and I think it's safe to say at the very least he upgrades the 2nd unit x3 if you know what I mean, and honestly in OKC I never got to really watch him this season like that he could do what Hassan Whiteside did. With some of these guys you just never know cause I bet about 2 years ago you'd say the same about Whiteside in fact nvm we don't even have the discussion lol. Whiteside and Kanter literally have nothing in common lol. Omar Asik made 15 million this past season. You don't pay Kanter that to come off the bench. He also has the body of Kareem Abdul Jabar. He was born for defense. Kanter is what he is, The love child of Horford and Zaza. He's a fatter Kevin Love. He'd be fine as a bench guy for 7 million, but he'll get far more than that. We already have an offensive center. We don't need another one. Jimmer ferdette is straight trash, maybe we should sign him to become the next Jimmy Butler :P
