Vandy
FTR - I wouldnt let Deion Sanders order a pizza, let alone run a football team. Me either...still, I'm glad to see he's mellowed enough from back in the day and wanting to reconnect with his original team....which is good for all concerned. Vandy
Please provide a reputable link linking Deion Sanders to wanting the GM job. I'm not gonna get into this little ruckus....plus I'm too lazy to find you a link...., but I do remember him saying something silly to that effect back when things were pretty low in falcon-land....(maybe after Vick-petrino mess?).... kiwifalcon
In the NFL, players don't go into the HoF as a member of one team. The busts show the players without a helmet. When Deion Sanders was inducted, he made a point to note that his children were in the audience wearing the jerseys of each of the teams he played for (Atlanta, S.F., Dallas, Washington and Baltimore).Yes Yes I understand that but I still have an inkling when he did go in the Falcons is the team he had the soft spot for its where it all started and the persona he made famous was created. Tuggle'2
Who cares? I'm not looking for hype, I'm looking for quality football players. And boring-ass Matt Ryan is a significantly better football player than Mike Vick. See, some folks are impressed with scrambling and running around. While others, like myself, are much more entertained by a QB who shows intelligence and the ability to pick teams apart with his mind. Basically in other words the whole "boring" narrative is in the eye of the beholder. I enjoyed and loved watching Vick while he was here and was still exciting and seemed to be enjoying the game. When he showed his complete lack of motivation to learn the playbook and become a complete QB I lost all ability to enjoy watching him. When we got a QB who made that his number one priority I fell in love with it. I just really enjoy and admire students of the game. I am much more entertained by that. Sure there have been the occasional boneheaded play which is frustrating and makes me scream and whatknot but every QB has those moments. Matt Ryan is the Atlanta Falcons QB and I fully support him until the moment he is no longer the Falcons QB.

wleggett
Man if it was me I'd be handing over the check before the **** ink dried. I want to see him, roddy and Matt falcons for life. If roddy goes somewhere else my 7 yr old daughter is gonna be heartbroken. She's all about 81.Wow nobody called me out about that one? I was reading back through I guess after typing 81 all the time for passwords it's become a habit.

Osiruz
Primetime and Vick are the only transcendent talents drafted by this miserable franchise in 25 years. Thats sad.ROFL. How about Matt ryan, Roddy white, and Julio jones(arguably a HOF candidate when all said and done).
MikeSmithsNotepad
ROFL.How about Matt ryan, Roddy white, and Julio jones(arguably a HOF candidate when all said and done).Julio is close. Again, Roddy and Ryan dont TRANSCEND the game of football. They dont permeate other avenues. There are no Air Ryans. Roddy doesn't have American Express commercials on national tv.They are just good football players. If Matt Ryan wasnt 6ft6, the average non-Falcon fan wouldn't even know who he was in public.
