The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have released tackle Sam Bakericon-article-link.gif.

Baker, 6-5, 301 pounds, was originally selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round (21st overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Southern California. During his six-year career, he has played in 70 career games with 61 starts for the Falcons.

Will cost us some dead cap $.... But worth it...

Always wondered if Sam Baker pick was Blank pay back to then Arena Football League Commish (Sam's dad)...

Hate how injuries killed his career. Sam is a great guy and hopefully he'll have a career of some kind in the NFL even as a backup, obviously his recovery didn't go how the Falcons wanted it to. Hopefully some additional time off can help Sam make a come back. (in another city)

Agreed. Hope this doesn't turn into a bashing thread.

Would like to know the true cap hit.
