Yo Seriously.

Recommended Posts

Birdbrain my main concern is we have not improved out o-line one bit since last season and we got Shannahan in here changing blocking schemes and telling Matt Ryan his is going to be more mobile, sounds to me like Shannahan knows our o-line is garbage and if that is the case we may be looking at a three to four year turn around and if that holds true then the guys holding off on the PSL's are going to be in a better situation than me, that;s for sure. But F it, it is what it is.

No one cares if you leave. As a Falcons fan be proud you can afford season tickets. I'm lucky if I get to go to one game a year. I had to sit through the panthers game last year and watch everyone in the stadium up and leave besides the panthers fans celebrating their playoff berth and that was my birthday present!! Support your team and s*ck it up pansy. We all want a Lombardi and your b!tching to us fellow fans isn't gonna help get one.

Birdbrain, I have committed to PSLs. But a lot of people sitting around me have not. They have told me they are going to gamble that Falcons do not succeed and Quinn falls on his face and then Falcons will have no choice but to revisit this PSL bull. I did not want to chance this. However I am not happy in the least with the fact that Blank still has the same front office people. I don't see this as a recipe for success. I like Quinn but honestly I liked Smitty I thought our problems were more personel based than coaching. I think Smitty was put under a lot of heat last year. If I remember correctly when Smitty first got here we were a run first team with Turner, and we succeeded. But it seems like after Green Bay beat us up we changed our whole identity and this was not Smitty's style. To me I think Smitty was being told from up above how to coach and I think he got thrown under the bus. But yes I have paid for my PSLs.

First, personnel*

Secondly, against the same franchise you mentioned (Green Bay) we showed that we could hang with anyone in the league. That game (at Green Bay MNF) was a second half offensive explosion. Without a run game in the first half we were behind the eight ball and had to rely on the pass...which almost brought us back and won the game, so while personnel is a problem, it wasn't completely the problem. Smitty had a problem keeping the momentum on our side, especially in the second half of games.

Well I'm 28 years old and I know that Dan Reeves came AFTER Glanville. And what do you mean by "dark days"? The closest you've ever come to what you want happened with Dan Reeves.

Also, yeah, we all want to win a Lombardi but if you bail on the team that's your decision. I'll still be here cheering on the Black and Red forever.

Oh, and I wasn't aware that 45yr olds used the phrase "yo seriously." Not that it's a bad thing, just not used to hearing it.

I also believe the entire op is a complete lie. Too many errors, inconsistencies, for someone who has supposedly been around that long.

I actually HAVE been around that long. I would love to win a championship, but not every team can or will win one. I was a fan through the losses. I was a fan through BOTH of the Marion Campbell "dynasties". I get torqued and sometimes perhaps a little melodramatic over perceived issues of the team. But that is because I am a dedicated, loyal fan.

I don't root for the Falcons because I expect or demand a title.

I root for the Falcons because I love the team: win, lose, or draw.

Welp there you have it. Another fist slamming the table demanding a SB. It's almost as if our owner, GM & staff were just Fing with people for the fun of it right? I mean they have absolutely no desire for a SB themselves and it's all a conspiracy. LOL, no chit, you and I and everyone else wants a SB and by golly (notice how I didn't use the Lords name in vain) we want one now!! And since there are season ticket holders, that gives us extra special right to throw a fit. I mean shouldn't every STH have the right to sit on the board or in the draft room and show these falcon management posers how to run the show?

Am I off base or too harsh? Just cash out bro it's your personal decision. If your that pizzed off maybe it's a smart move... Falcons can be frustrating sure. I thought we did our due diligence in acquiring a new HC and staff. I respect AB decision to give them a year to turn it around because we owed it to Smith and others who got us out of a rut. That's fair. TD was put on notice and his authority was diluted with Pioli etc... This rant just seems click baitish to me... But I respect your opinion and you have the right to voice it. So more power to ya...

As a fan you should demand your team win a champinship. That is what they play for. And to be a franchise 50 years in existence and not have one is a joke and an embarrassment to the city of Atlanta. To sit around and accept mediocracy over and over and over is not being a fan it is letting a cheap owner take advantage of you. A fan goes to the games, buys the tickets, wears the jerseys, has the tail gates, goes to Flowery Branch in the summertime and sits his azz in 90+ degree hit becasue he like you likes the team but to sit there and say that that same fan cannot call a owner and a front office out for making the same mistakes over and over and over is crazy. You think Alabama fans would be happy winning 8 games a year and no National Championships? You think the Yankee fans would settle for third place. Successful franchises have fans that demand more. Falcons have a bunch of fans who think winning 9 games and being one and done in play-offs is a great year. Blank knows this and he rips us off by putting meidocre product on the field. Time to demand more. No way Steinbrenner or Jerry Bus or any of the GREAT owners would still have Rich McKay, TD, or Pioli working for them.

To answer the question....no we wouldn't be.

Then as a Bama fan you should definately understand. No way on gods green earth would Alabama fans put up with the same 50 year of bull Falcon fans have. Alabama fans would have had Rich McKay, Thomas Dimitroff, and Pioli rounded up and sent packing. Curry wins 10 games for Bama and gets a brick thrown thru his window at his house telling him to leave. Nothing changes until fans demand it.

Not this stupid line again. What are you going to do to "demand" a championship? If your idea of that is to make an *** out of yourself on the forums, then you're not accomplishing anything.

Well he is making an a$$ out of himself. Thats one thing.

So how does one as a fan demand a championship? What steps do you take?

So how does one as a fan demand a championship? What steps do you take?

Step 1: Burn all merch in a symbolic bonfire in your backyard. Film and post on youtube.

Step 2: Refuse to attend all games. If you must attend, refrain from cheering the team on in any way. This also applies if you choose to watch games in a bar or at home by yourself.

Step 3: Spam team's official message board on daily basis with some variation of "Anything less than a championship is a complete and total failure. Being the big winner I am, I refuse to tolerate failure."

Step 4: Wait for team to win Super Bowl.

Step 5: If, and only if, team wins championship, buy a small amount of merch and begin cheering a little at games. Don't overdo this step - you don't want to send the message that you are content with just one championship. Remember: Being a fan of a sports team is NOT about having fun.

Step 6: Repeat steps 1 through 5 as necessary.

I think that about covers it. Did I miss anything, Peter?

LMAO!!!

Peter, nobody is stopping you from hanging up your fandom and moving on to another team to root for. Stop trying to convince us to not be fans of the team we love. Other than that I'm with coop on this one, other than writing a letter to Arthur Blank threatening to no be a fan anymore if you don't make the team win a SB then IDK what to tell you.

peterpiper,

Thanks for telling the truth about this franchise and the owner who seems to only care about getting a new stadium and IMO just wants to leave his mark with the new state of the art building

in the downtown area.

I have been a diehard since 78 and we finally gave up our season tickets after 21 years due to the cost, sideshows at the current stadium, HC turnover, etc.

It seems this franchise is happy just to make the playoffs. Last years final game against Carolina at home was sickening and we were so glad we did not buy tickets to witness that embarrassment of a game. We have been to numerous other cities to see the Falcons play and to be honest, going to an away game seems much more like going to a real NFL game without all the sideshows, rise up, etc.

Now Blank is asking for fans to buy a PSL plus higher ticket cost just so to be able to see a new stadium with all the great amenities, etc. and the same team with 0 - championships.

I personally would rather go back to the Fulton County stadium days if it meant we would finally win a championship. The only way the fans can show their displeasure is not buy tickets and merchandise and let the visitor fans take over as they have before.

I'll always pull for the Falcons but I will not continue to spend this type of money for a consistent loser and an owner who only wants to host a Super Bowl in the city of Atlanta. He has been alienating the fans who care the most about this team by demanding a PSL cost plus more expensive ticket cost for a shiny new stadium and the same team without a single championship.

Win a championship Mr. Blank and make us long time fans proud!! Until then, hopefully the fans will refuse to pay for your flawed product.
