"It's still early in his career and for some reason, he wants to remind me that he's been to the Pro Bowl. I don't know why. But I think he finds it impressive to keep telling me, 'I went to the Pro Bowl.' I'm not interested."So Mike (McDaniel) is my assistant. Mike and I are working very closely together. So that's what Mike's going to do: Mike is the guy who's going to listen to Julio when he says he's been to the Pro Bowl. ... But the good thing about Mike and I doing it is when Julio gets tired of listening to me, he's got another voice. We've just got to keep him focused."Jones, fresh off his second Pro Bowl selection, finished last season with a franchise-record 1,593 receiving yards despite missing one game with an oblique injury. Jones led the league with 31 receptions of 20-plus yards. He was third in the league with 104 receptions, right behind Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown (129) and Denver's Demaryius Thomas (111).Jones certainly showed he was recovered from the foot fracture that limited him to five games in 2013 . He also showed he's deserving of a long-term contract extension, something the Falcons are destined to address at some point before Jones reaches free agency next offseason.So what can Jones do to take his game to another level?"Keep working," Robiskie said. "Julio just has to keep going and keep doing what he's doing."New offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan brings an offensive system intent on establishing more offensive balance with a strong running game. But Shanahan certainly won't neglect having one of the most dangerous receiving threats in the NFL."It's every day, just trying to come out and get better, and he's doing that," Robiskie said of Jones. "And the challenging thing about it is -- what's really, really good about it is -- we're in a whole new system. It's certainly got new things about it for me. And it's got new stuff for Julio. Mike (McDaniel) has been in it for seven years. That's the good thing about Mike being in our room.
