Sorry to bring this up in this manner, but it does have a ring to it. Going off of the phrase in TATF that someone coined to draft Gurley, I think it sounds better to recruit Durant. Think about a lineup that includes 4 good, unselfish players and a true superstar(who is also unselfish) coached by one of the best coaches in the league. This team could cruise through the East and win the next 3 championships easily, being the most complete team. If we had a legitimate rebounder and rim protector in a guy like Tyson Chandler, other teams would truly have no chance.

Of course, that would mean that we would have to give up someone for the cap space, but I'd gladly let Millsap walk if it meant we got KD, and a true center. The Tyson Chandler thing is a stretch, but KD would be huge for this team and this city. He would be the biggest thing in Atlanta since Freaknik 95.

Lol@win the next 3 championships easily. That's just silly

who else in the East would compete with us with Durant. I'll give you the Cavs but that's it. If we made it past them only team left would be a west team in the Finals. Let's face it, the East is weak in comparison. Durant wouldn't have to exert nearly as much energy on a night to night basis. I think Muscala will improve a lot and get stronger this off-season. If we had Durant and a rim protector to allow Horford to move btw the 4 and 5 that's a deadly line-up.

Take Millsap off of this year's team and substitute MVP form Durant, no way we get swept in any series.

I get it. The chance of landing Durant is slim to none, but as a fan you're telling me that if he said that he would be willing to come, your response would be "no" and "lmao." I bet our FO at least inquires about it. Superstars have shat on this team every free agency, but that doesn't mean that we'll NEVER land one. I'm open minded enough to at least think of the possibility. Will it happen? Highly doubt it, but I would welcome any chance of getting a humble player of his caliber.

Yeah, it's a possibility. I love KD and would love to have him on our team. Would I be open to moving heaven and earth for him? Absolutely not.
