Scott Pioli Named Most Influential Falcon, But Just How Influential Is He?

499 posts in this topic

We had one of our best drafts with Pioli as the lead. However, Tyson Jackson was a dud, and Paul Soulia is no more than serviceable. So I'd say so far it's a wash. I'm just happy TD was put in check, we would have probably traded up for Fowler is TD was in full control.

I always get a kick out of suggestions that TD could get fired and replaced by Pioli. That's just silliness. It's both or neither.

As always you're a TD nut hugger and will defend him until the end. You never hold him accountable for his short comings and won't give Pioli credit. TD is to blame for our lack of star player talent on defense and overall depth and should've been fired just like Smith, but of course he's AB puppet

So it's all Pioli and no TD? Then why did Pioli do poor in KC and all of a sudden be good here? Hm?

Lol, all I said was that if TD was fired then Pioli would be fired too, but whatever, just another episode in your TD AB Theatre I guess. rolleyes.giflaugh.png

We will be better with SP running the show and that's exactly what the article was saying. Look I just want to win...period!!!!! And TD did a horrible job in 7 yrs building a team. He's the guy to hold accountable for our sorry @$$ defensive talent and lack of overall depth. If you can't find a pass rush and build a defense in 7 yrs it's time to move on.....just saying

His job is still to answer to TD. I will never understand why people think he's running anything on this team.

Not really...it's like times when Piolo was TD boss in NE. Just understand TD was relieved of his duties and read between the lines. That's exactly what the article was saying.

Except he wasn't.

TD has his short comings no doubt.

BUT and its a big but he also bought the franchise out of the toilet that was before anyone goes throwing anymore stones in glass houses make sure you remember this before commenting on who we do and do not need.

FYI TD is the same guy who traded 2 2nd round picks and a 4th to move up and draft Sam Baker. This is the guy you praise

Also the guy who drafted Matt Ryan and has a job in football, unlike someone I know...

Ive said this before... We are in a good situation even tho a preferred change at the end of the season

Pioli is scouting guys and setting up the draft and FA rankings/boards.... Quinn and staff is telling both what they are looking for in the scheme and some players they like..... TD is picking the players on the boards based off Pioli rankings and Quinns suggestions and guys he and his staff likes....

Pioli doesnt have the overall power to go full dictatorship like he did in KC .... TD is getting help scouting from a guy who scouts good at positions that is not his strength ... And Coach Quinn gets some guys that he likes that fits his scheme and he works good with TD ...

Now its all about putting in work on the field to see should we keep this structure
