Gregory Adding Weight

Trouble

Recommended Posts

Slowly but surely, he’s working on that one.

The rookie pass-rusher raised some doubts when he weighed in at 235 pounds at the combine, but said he’s up to 243 now, roughly halfway to where the Cowboys want him to be (the 250s).

I was surprisingly light when I got here,” Gregory said, via Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I’ve gained a lot since I got here, surprisingly with the amount of running we do out there.

“We’ve still got time. I’m just slowly gaining weight as I go. I know the coaches are happy about it. I’m happy about it obviously. It’s going to help my game out. It hadn’t hurt my game at all as far as my conditioning and like that. That’s just another aspect of my game I’ve got to work on.”

235 wasnt gonna work out. I forgot who i was talking to about gaining weight. But he needs to be on a pure protein diet or all meat diet.

He said in an interview that Dallas wants him at 255. Very excited to see that he's already bulking up. I knew he'd be ready to go by TC.

Rumor has it Lawrence showed up to OTAs noticeably bigger also.

He's already winded and dehydrated, he's gonna put on 15 pounds, and someone actually thinks he's going to keep his speed and quickness...

This has "hot mess" written all over it. Plus, once he gets a load of all that Texas BBQ, he ain't stopping at 250... I see your next Olineman of the future...

Despite the proverbial "every other team passed on him... twice," I agree. I wish we'd have stolen him in the second round...

I do as well. After the statement we just made by moving fast and cutting our dog kicker. You know that sent a message to the locker room to not be screwing up.

We could have used him badly. But i understand why we passed like everyone else did. He might be a gamble that is the next syco.

If what I've heard is true then he's more likely to be depressed than angry.

Depressed is worse than angry. Depression can alter your entire view of the world for the worst. To the point you care for nothing not even yourself.

Then the drugs to get over it can be evil. They can also make you worse.

Hurting yourself is always better than striking out at an innocent bystander.

Yeah but Ive been depressed before and it screws you up. When i was young and naive i used to think depression was a joke. Or even being crazy was lies. I thought it was just attention seeking people. Until you felt it, then your like wow this is tough especially for a young person to be able to handle.

You become a walking weapon not only to yourself but others. It only takes someone to lite the fuse to set bad events in motion. So if Gregory has problems with depression and its serious depression that people think he isnt right in the head. he needs to get professional help. Thats easier said than done because being young you feel like your normal and you think shrinks are qwacks. You dont wanna listen to them or others.

I hope football makes him happy. Them atleast he is focusing on what does make him happy. Turn the negative into a positive. But being the NFL your only as good as the next play you make or miss and the media is waiting for you to slip up.

But he needs to get medical help before it does become a issue like the chief guy or Jr saue. You dont wanna see it get to that level.

Gregory was happy to go to Dallas because of the record they have being able to help players. He is being mentored by Herm Edwards on top of whatever Dallas has planned for him. So, I am confident that he is seeking to fix his problem.
