Falcons LB Prince Shembo was reportedly arrested in Gwinnett (GA) on accusations of killing his girlfriend's dog. Shembo has reportedly been charged with felony animal cruelty after kicking and ultimately killing the dog. A 2014 fourth-round draft pick out of Notre Dame, Shembo is competing for playing time at outside linebacker in new coach Dan Quinn's defense. The arrest won't help his chances of earning the coaching staff's trust, and could potentially lead to league discipline.

She said she was alone with Shembo in his room when she began to feel uncomfortable with the conversation. "I started feeling as though I was in danger," she wrote. "I didn't feel safe in his room."

Seeberg then described how she cried and her body froze as the alleged attack ensued. Her allegations did not describe penetration; the campus police log listed the complaint as an alleged sexual battery. She said Shembo licked her breast. The incident ended when the player's cellphone distracted him, Seeberg said.

On Sept. 2 she received a text message from one of Shembo's friends, telling her, "Don't do anything you would regret. Messing with notre dame football is a bad idea."

She killed herself Sept. 10, overdosing on prescription medication.

Animals, namely dogs, are more loyal than most humans

Not to mention, the connection they have with humans. They see us as their pack leader, provider and protector.

They have done research finding that both humans and dogs brains actually receive each other as family members (kids and parents)

Great point.

Reminds me of the saying, "Punish the deed, not the breed." Dogs are products of what they are taught by Humans or by survival of the fittest.

I am one of the people who felt Mike Vick deserved another chance after he paid his debt to society, but I never condoned or respected what he did. This dude Shembo seems like a psychopath though, and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
