wleggett
Ok it's 2011 draft day and you're sitting at pick 27 son. Hindsight being 20/20 who do you pick son? Do you pull off the trade and go up for Julio or someone else? Do you sit at 27 and go a completely different direction? What would YOU do son?To keep it simpler no other trades unless it's the Cleveland deal.

It was ironic that the Falcons signed the underachieving Carimi last year, had one year's look at him, and then decided not to re-sign him this year. I think that 1 Julio is greater than 100 Carimis. I think this train went off the track before it left the station.
EJmusic
I would never trade 5 picks for any player but at the same time I'm glad we got Julio. Why are we bringing this up again anyway?
runshoot
well, son. I would have picked julio, son. Looking at who Cleveland took with our picks, son, it proves that just because you had our picks, son, doesn't mean you were guaranteed to pick a winner, son.son. Why are we bringing this up again anyway?Offseason, lack of sleep, Julio coming up for an extension, the let Julio walk insanity, etc. I'm genuinely curious what others would have done as the GM at that moment. Wasn't he one of the players listed as a target that one of the Ain'ts collected a bounty on?Since we're playing "alternate universe", if we had taken Carimi, the Saints' bounty target would probably have been on Matt instead. So in this branch of time, Carimi does not necessarily get his knee targeted, and might become a perennial All Pro.
FentayeJones
It's very easy to have an amazing draft when it done in hindsight.

senkage72
Think I would've traded 3 picks (2 #1s & #3) to Houston and drafted Watt. That might have put a different spin on the last few years. Guess I should've read the OP. Nevermind. Edited May 29, 2015 by senkage72

Knight of God
Its not really hindsight if the person in question felt the same way from jump. Pick your parodies better, this is getting old.
Lornoth
If I went back in time and wormed my way into the draft room, I would draft 7 amazing, probably 1'st round talent players in that draft, same as anyone could do in any draft. If I had to go back in time without knowledge of how players turned out though, I'd trade up for JJ again. You know you're right, forget not trading, get JJ regardless, the extra insight would make up for the picks lost and then some.

I suppose if that's possible Baker could be an all pro as well. We gotta draw the line somewhere. I'm just not willing to make Biermann an all pro just yet.
