Panther fans keep citing that 34-3 game, but they don't understand how fantastic that was for the Falcons. If that game doesn't happen, the chances of Mike Smith coming back are huge. If we aren't humiliated like that, then Arthur Blank may bring back Nolan and/or Koetter. If we don't lose the game, we go to the playoffs and most likely get humiliated in the wild card. This leads to us picking at around 20th overall, and missing out on Vic Beasley.

Panther fans don't understand how much they helped us week 17, while doing nothing for themselves. When Beasley wins DPOY 5 years from now, Falcon fans will be talking about 34-3 and how thankful we are.

Mono don't let Dave read this logic.

I understand that but at the time the Falcons fans for the most part were so hype to win that game and have the division crown and a playoff berth. I only really said it to Treefiddy cause it bothered him so much and I found that funny

It really doesn't bother me at all...

But your lame excuse of only using it on me is pretty funny. Check this out...

You beat us in a game for the division, regardless of how it may help us in the future to me it's still brag worthy.

Believe it or not I actually pulled for the Panthers that game. I thought you guys would win, and picked you in the football poll I do. Ultimately, the division crown wouldn't have felt like much of a prize to me with a losing record, and if we beat AZ we probably get pounded by Seattle, imo there is a good chance they beat us by 40 points or more, and to tell the truth I would have found it funny.

It's kind of a funny thing, the last 2 times Carolina has come to Atlanta I pulled for them. I pulled for them in 2013 as well, because Atlanta winning would have meant the Saints get the 2 seed, and HFA was big to them. With the game only being the difference between 4-12 and 5-11, I would be like 'ARE YOU SERIOUS' if they had actually won that game, lol.

there's never a good excuse though, to get destroyed in the final game of the season, in your own house, against a division rival. The Falcons had zero heart and cowered in the face of a team that has been bullying them. I bring the game up a lot as a reminder of the team that had no heart and no pride. If the roles were reversed.. I would expect nothing less from Falcon fans. I would probably agree with most, in that situation.

Now that TD has a very reduced role, the Falcons would have probably drafted a quality player in the 1st, no matter what spot they picked at.

A lot of fans here did for 2013. I remember a thread about how we had a chance to stop the Panthers from taking the division crown, some people basically laughed at the assertion that it would bring satisfaction. You guys would have made the playoffs anyway, and the Saints get the 2 seed.

The butthurt I bring is epic.. I must admit.. I didn't think I was this good.. I don't even have to post in a thread to be in the thread...

Pox can be on a troll mission and I will end up the subject..

I noticed that also.

I'm assuming this gives me a free pass to kick puppies and kittens, knowing that the blame will fall on you...and not me.

Yeah tru 2013 i could see why you would want to cheer for us. Last year as a team we did average to below average but considering all we went through it turned out to be a good season especially since Cam got his first playoff win

We did get pounded, and it was embarrassing, however I'm not sure we 'cowered'. You seem to like to go with that theme, but in truth I think the Falcons just sucked, and the Panthers took great advantage of Falcons errors.

With some games, it isn't a team's day/night, I think it was that kind of day for Atlanta. The Panthers took advantage of opportunities. This allowed them to 'control the game' in a sense, being able to play their brand of football, and avoid doing things that would make it easier for the Falcons to get back into the game.

he77 since we are reflecting

lets reflect on this too....

Of not just NFC South but ALL NFL Teams

no Visiting Team has won more Games in Car Than The Atlanta Falcons

We Have won more games on their Field heads up than they have, and they have only managed to beat us 4 or 5 Times in Their History at The Ga Dome, we are Clicking at about 70% all time vs Them, Take out the Mora Era and it Jumps into the high 80s% all Time.
and we have just destroyed them in so many Games , Like Record Breaking Destroying

In 98 we scored 3 TDs in 58 secs on them, a then NFL Record
in 2002 we beat them 72-0 in the 2 games
in 2003 their Super Bowl Yr, our little 4 win team Busted them up on National TV
in 2007 J Harrington Beat them … J Harrington Man

J George
B Hebert
C Chandler
S DeBerg
D Johnson
M Vick
J Harrington
M Ryan

all have beat Panthers as a Falcon QB

Discuss ??????

its just as realiveant as 34-3

But those who disbelieve say, "The Hour will not come to us." Say, "Yes, by my Lord, it will surely come to you. [ Allah is] the Knower of the unseen." Not absent from Him is an atom's weight within the heavens or within the earth or [what is] smaller than that or greater, except that it is in a clear register

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
