Obviously Aldridge is the prize. I think it comes down to Spurs and Hawks. The Hawks can make a legitimate case foe being one player away from competing for a title. Especially being a dominate player in the paint. The spacing that is created would give Aldridge lots of great looks.

Next would be Marc Gasol then Greg Monroe.

I think Bud resigns both Carrol and Millsap. Neither has had success anywhere else and are team / winning is important guys. The window is closing on Millsap and Carrol could sign a 2yr deal then get paid again either with Hawks or another team. If we can't sign Millsap for a reasonable price then I like Jordan Hill as an option.

I'm totally on board with bringing in Taveras for Pero's spot.

Bud got a ready to start 2 guard with a handle who shot 43% his rookie yr. last yr was understandable playing on a disfunctional team whose GM had mailed it in. So step one, improve at 2 guard so Korver can come off the bench. Step two try to keep that 60 win core together. Step 3, tweak the roster thru FA to improve weaknesses, like scorin from the post.

Tavares will make around 3 million in his other league if he stays. We're not going to pay him that much, so it's probably a slim chance he's over here this season unfortunately.

3 million is what the best players like Rudy Fernandez make in Euroleague, Edy won't get anything close to that. Edited by jayu70

Sorry *** Josh Childress signed for 3 years and 20 million

Back around 2008 from a Greek team, the value of the Euro has dropped and the market has changed considerably as well as Greece's economy. Teams are no longer paying out that kind of salary.

I love me some Millsap, but green is 1000x the better player for the future if we want an undersized 4 with range.

1. Young

2. Max is 15ish I think, which is cheaper than millsap

3. Elite defender

Negatives

1. We have a 1% chance of getting him lol

I agree we don't agree on much, but you got to admit this is the most active Atlanta ever been in free agency forever. Also these guys aren't over the hill.

Now I see why they would be willing to split with Splitter.

Does the media not care about us enough to report it, or do we never do things like this?

I can't copy tweets from hawksquawk on my phone but...

Gasol is meeting with Memphis officials and has no other visits lined up. Marc Stein says he's all but off the market

Aldridge has 6 visits lined up for Tuesday. We're not one of them
