Rwhite84
To the people claiming I am a troll for wwnting a LG, please take note: this is TRUE trolling right here.Did you not watch him play, at all? For half the year it looked like he had a hit out on Ryan.
hjerry
I don't understand why anyone here is attacking OP for saying that we could win the SB this year, when he never said that. In fact, he specifically mentioned that we needed more pieces to get there.
hjerry
few qbs can be very effective at 38, very few. I say he has 3 years at his prime which will put him at 10 seasons. We have a short windowThere you go saying "we" again
hjerry
I remember watching an analyst sometime back, who made mention that, for a team to be truly great, they had to have at least 5 guys at various positions on their team, who, when opposing teams game-planned against them, they would have to stop and specifically discuss, "OK, how are we going to stop that guy?" *NiteFalcon*
I agree with the sentiment regarding FS...we don't have one and thats going to become more apparent moving forward. and pls LOL Ryan only has 3-4 years pass the ganja bro
Francis York Morgan
I remember watching an analyst sometime back, who made mention that, for a team to be truly great, they had to have at least 5 guys at various positions on their team, who, when opposing teams game-planned against them, they would have to stop and specifically discuss, "OK, how are we going to stop that guy?"I do like that idea. I know we have Julio, Trufant, and arguably Beasley now. Coleman could turn into that, and Hageman could as well. We're still a long ways off. Don't consider Ryan someone a team truly will gameplan for, not in the same way Rodgers or Brady is, or even a Cam Newton (despite liking Ryan more). Either way I think we're headed in the right direction. We got a huge influx of talent in the front 7, that'll benefit our secondary so much. Our defense could surprise a lot of people this year honestly, especially once they mesh.
Knight of God
I love this type of thinking. Thing is F-Moore said it right. We have some things to do. I think we are going to have a blast this year though.
atljbo
I think we are a playoff contender...... To me what will make us superbowl contenders is can these young players blossom ... Can Shede, Jarrett, Beasley, and Clayborn Schofield step up.. Can a prince shembo show something.... Can Alford continue to grow..... Will Collins developI feel like we have talent but we have to see how it turns out

If Coleman is as advertised and Julio keeps destroying guys, I think he can have a 3-4 game stretch playing mistake free, game winning football. I've seen him do it in the regular season. Jigglypuff
Ryan just needs to dig deep and get hot during a playoff run. maybe he just needs to eat a chile pepper from stoic
Romfal
Whats crazy is that in 3 or 4 yrs were gonna be looking for ryans replacement.**** time flies man.But i agree, were setup in a nice way, we still need some quality depth but the starters and future stars on this team is already in place.QB's play well in to their 30's these days. I'd say we have a minimum of 6 years left from Ryan, more than likely 8.
FenixFalcon
I would kill to win superbowl 50! Such an Epic number to get our first Lombardi...just sayin
FentayeJones
OP left out the most important element to winning in the NFL---- a good coach. We have that also.

Total Package
I think we will be a playoff contender but not a superbowl contender. Hard to win a sb with an OL like ours, and our defense was 31st last year. It will definitely be better than last year but not good enough for a sb. north falcon
LT: Jake MatthewsDE: Vic BeasleyCB: Desmond TrufantWR: Julio JonesQB: Matt RyanI agree. Out of 53 players, we have 5 good ones. I'd include Matt Bryant, so we have 6 good players. SUPER BOWL HERE WE COME!

Power I
I agree. Out of 53 players, we have 5 good ones. I'd include Matt Bryant, so we have 6 good players. SUPER BOWL HERE WE COME!I agree, Matt Bryant is definitely the most underrated player on the team and a great kicker like him is surely needed to win a Super Bowl. I didn't include him because I doubt he's around for all of our next 4-5 year window. Also, to the person who pointed out Super Bowl teams having great FS's, that is definitely a trend I hadn't noticed. Earl Thomas, Devin McCourty, Ed Reed, etc. Hopefully we find one in the next year or two. Either way, another draft and offseason like this one and we could be contending as early as next year. dmo_dlo
So far, we have also missed another important component: functional depth. We'll see about our depth this year.
Dirtybird3
Having to replace matty sounds crazy lol. I remember his first game against the Lions, first pass td.
MoFalconsFan56
The way that the league protects qb's Ryan will play more like 5-8 more years opposed to 3-4. i get what you're saying that we have every cornerstone and you're right. We're going to the playoffs this year. Why not win the super bowl? If our o-line plays decent we have just as good of a shot as any of the other teams ppl don't discredit. If our d can play well not even lights out I think we can go far.
