We Have Every Cornerstone We Need To Win A Super Bowl.

Recommended Posts

LT: Jake Matthews

DE: Vic Beasley

CB: Desmond Trufant

WR: Julio Jones

QB: Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan just turned 30, but the oldest out of the rest of the group is Julio at 26. We have the groundwork laid already to have a window for a Super Bowl over the next 4-5 years. Those will be the prime years of Ryan's career and all of our young cornerstones will barely touch 30 at the end of it.

A few more pieces in FA, striking gold on some other young players, and continued development of the talent already on the team and we're about to have a tremendous window of opportunity. All we need are a few others from guys like Alford, Collins, Hageman, Freeman, Coleman, Jarrett, and Worrilow to develop and we'll be sitting very nicely.

Whats crazy is that in 3 or 4 yrs were gonna be looking for ryans replacement.

**** time flies man.

But i agree, were setup in a nice way, we still need some quality depth but the starters and future stars on this team is already in place.

3-4? He's only 30. Maybe 5-7. I agree with the sentiment, but we should be straight for another 5-7 years

3-4 years? I can totally see Ryan play for another 7-8. The fact that he takes care of himself and has stayed away from the type of injuries that have plagued Bradford for instance should keep him in good nick for the foreseeable future. His productivity also doesn't depend on elite athleticism. Guys like Kaepernick and Newton will be out of this league before Ryan eventually hangs them up.

few qbs can be very effective at 38, very few. I say he has 3 years at his prime which will put him at 10 seasons. We have a short window

There's always the chance we get a Big Ben or a Russell Wilson after Ryan.... young QB's who come into this league and win a SB due to adequate talent and a great team.

true. It seems like the ideal window is while a franchise qb is still on his rookie contract so you can afford to build a team around him.

Jake Matthews has done as much as he possibly could to scare us, he had a little stretch where he played just a bit below average, but he still scares me. Dimitroff may live to regret that pick.

To the people claiming I am a troll for wwnting a LG, please take note: this is TRUE trolling right here.

Indeed. It can also be done by drafting well once your franchise QB is on his big contract. There's a lot more room for error when he's on a rookie contract.
