Power I
LT: Jake MatthewsDE: Vic Beasley CB: Desmond Trufant WR: Julio JonesQB: Matt RyanMatt Ryan just turned 30, but the oldest out of the rest of the group is Julio at 26. We have the groundwork laid already to have a window for a Super Bowl over the next 4-5 years. Those will be the prime years of Ryan's career and all of our young cornerstones will barely touch 30 at the end of it.A few more pieces in FA, striking gold on some other young players, and continued development of the talent already on the team and we're about to have a tremendous window of opportunity. All we need are a few others from guys like Alford, Collins, Hageman, Freeman, Coleman, Jarrett, and Worrilow to develop and we'll be sitting very nicely. madman88
Whats crazy is that in 3 or 4 yrs were gonna be looking for ryans replacement.**** time flies man.But i agree, were setup in a nice way, we still need some quality depth but the starters and future stars on this team is already in place. Rwhite84
Jake Matthews has done as much as he possibly could to scare us, he had a little stretch where he played just a bit below average, but he still scares me. Dimitroff may live to regret that pick.

Francis York Morgan
Elite FS is typically common of Superbowl winning teams, very underrated position. Matthews hasn't developed all the way and it's Beasley's first year. I'm optimistic, but not that optimistic.

I can totally see Ryan play for another 7-8. The fact that he takes care of himself and has stayed away from the type of injuries that have plagued Bradford for instance should keep him in good nick for the foreseeable future. His productivity also doesn't depend on elite athleticism. Guys like Kaepernick and Newton will be out of this league before Ryan eventually hangs them up. I say he has 3 years at his prime which will put him at 10 seasons. We have a short window

It seems like the ideal window is while a franchise qb is still on his rookie contract so you can afford to build a team around him.

It seems like the ideal window is while a franchise qb is still on his rookie contract so you can afford to build a team around him.Indeed. It can also be done by drafting well once your franchise QB is on his big contract. There's a lot more room for error when he's on a rookie contract.
