It looks pretty good, but will it live up to the original?

I will definitely see this in the theater!

Btw...the little girl that plays Carol Ann in the new version looks eerily like the original Carol Ann ( hair color is different though )

At first I was like  'Another cash grab remake'

Then saw it's a Ghosthouse Picture, I was like :) 'Potential could be there.'

Noticed Sam Rockwell plays dad and :D 'I'm taking the wife to see this ***** opening weekend'

There are so few good horror movies anymore, particularly original ones. When I was growing up there were 3 or 4 every year.

Fingers crossed that it at least lives up to the original.

I imagine that they'll honor the original, but have a slightly different twist at the same time.

I'm going to see this too.

I agree horror is a dying genre. Cheap jump scares or pointless gore. My favorite horror movies are the kind that get in your head. I still think about Paranomal Activity when my foot sticks out over the bed or when sitting in a chair in the middle of a living room. I also think about Darkness Falls when driving down a backroad at night with my windows down.

However, my imagination always wonders when on a backroad at night, Lol.

**** like this doesn't scare me at all. It looks good but not scary. I'm more afraid of movies like the strangers. The realistic factor alone just ****** me up.

Just imagine watching that movie for the first time a few days before you go on vacation. Your first day there someone comes knocking on your door. First thing that would pop in my head would be that and the purge lol

When i was younger. I used to like binge watching friday the 13th and hellraisers and nightmare on elm streets. Right while i was going to bed. Leave them on while you sleep. Your subconscious will pick up on it and you will have some crazy nightmares. :)

The best are friday the 13 though for dreams. Because they have sex scenes and Jason always shows up in them. Total mess your stuff up when you dream.

Cabin in the Woods was the last good "horror" movie I've seen in the last 10yrs...ok it was more satire than horror but whatever lol!

The Strangers was A good movie, but certain scenes pi$$ed me off to the point where i was concentrating more on that than what was happening on screen.

In the middle of binge watching Friday the 13th a stranger came to the house to ask for directions. I was paranoid that he was going to shove his way inside and kill us all.

When I got back to my room I was like "time for a break from Jason". Lol.

I think that normally without watching friday the 13th.

A few months back another car drove in my ditch with drunk drivers. They came to my door and my first thought is "get the gun, no one should be at my door at 2am".

But that cha cha cha, chew chewww cheeeww stuff from friday the 13th will haunt you forever.

lol just thinking "there will be some ignorant *** people who will try this ****" was enough to scare me watching it. Sadly when the purge came out ignore *** people actually decided they wanted to scare cities up with that dumb ****

I think the original Friday the 13th was the best.
