Can Two Nfc South Teams Make The Playoffs?

Recommended Posts

The Atlanta Falcons look set to improve under Dan Quinn next season, and will compete with the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints for the NFC South crown. Could the division see two teams enter the playoffs in 2015?

In the past five years, two teams have qualified from the NFC South three times. Atlanta was involved twice, winning the division in 2010 and then securing a wild-card berth a year later.

The last time we saw it was in 2013, when the Panthers and Saints made it through while the Falcons slumped to a 4-12 record.

For the division to feature two playoff teams again, there needs to be better performance across the board. Last season, not a single team in the NFC South posted a winning record. Nobody truly deserved a playoff berth, but the Panthers were the best of a bad bunch.

The first question we need to ask is has the NFC South improved enough?

....just a question. What is the punishment for plagiarism on this board anyway? Lack of respect for the OP, or tar and feathered?

Pretty much nothing. The original author could bring something up regarding copyright infringement but it's a grey area. If we're going to this every meme needs to cite the original copyright owner and obtain permission for using the likeness.

The reason it's done is because the Moderators have said multiple times to do it in accordance with the CoC. It's in good taste and I just don't want anyone having threads deleted (or worse) for something easily preventable.

Communicating in a chat room or on message boards is different from face-to-face communication. Only the words are seen, not your facial expressions or tone of voice. Please pay careful attention to how you use your words.

Remember that the words you enter in a burst of passion or indignant anger will be there for you and everyone else to see, sometimes long after those intense feelings have passed. That's not meant to discourage spontaneity, but just a friendly reminder of the long-term existence and effects of what you post.

You may, from time to time, find yourself in disagreement with someone else's opinion. At times like these, please keep in mind it's safer and more polite to take issue with the comments rather than the person.

Off-topic material that impedes or otherwise prohibits communication; disrupts the discussion including, without limitation, using fan names in topical boards that are offensive to the topic, the team, the sport and/or its fans, and repeatedly posting off-topic messages in a topical message board.

Statements or postings that violate the above terms will be deleted from postings upon discovery. While we may attempt to notify you if we move or delete a post, we are under no obligation to do so. According to the code of conduct it mentions copyrighted material which is pretty much all encompassing. No mention of a requirement to cite the original author. With images you get into the fair use area but if the image contains a person it takes a whole different path because you're dealing with that person's likeness. Plagiarism and copyright infringement... The internet is just a legal minefield these days.
