Gotta give it to Kerr though. Even though GSW was already a 50+ win team, to improve that win total by 17 and become the dominant force that no one expected them to be in the West is very impressive. He obviously learned some things from Pop. That being said, I haven't seen GSW in many tight, one possession games (since they're usually winning by double digits) in which strategy and execution have to be just about perfect.

We've won several games that way. Heck, I'd say about half of our wins in the postseason have been by five or less points, including three straight against the Wizards that were decided by a combined 9 points. If any team is battle tested and has shown late game execution, it's us.

Guest Homer the Brave

That was when the Hawks were winning, after that, hawks were not the same after injuries. With the way hawks are limping to the finals and barley getting by, the media and probably the nba does not want to see this hawks team in the finals.

This Hawks team went from a fluid motion team that was enjoyable to watch, to a team that has learned to win in ugly fashion. It ain't pretty, but it has served us well in the playoffs thus far.

I consider myself an optimist and believe we can beat the Cavs, but GS will be very very tough.

They are a better version of us. Better defensively, and offensively with good ball movement.

When hawks were 100%, hawks showed they were the better team.

Kerr is a great coach. Better than Bud even. You are a major homer. I'm a Rockets fan but I see a slim chance the Rockets get past GS.

Kerr better than bud? Yeah..... No.

Typical Hawks homer response. Kerr led his squad to the best record in the West. And NBA overall. Bud led his squad to be the best in the East which isn't saying much.

We shall see after the Hawks Cavs series how great Bud is.

Hawks won 60 games. That's saying a lot considering they had a winning record against western conference teams

Homer? Yes Im pretty sure their record has nothing to do with the fact they have 2 top 20 players on their team and 2 top 10 defenders....

Bud has no superstars.

His best player is a PF who he taught how to shoot and handle.

His best defender is a player who shot 30% from 3 before Bud got his hands on him. He shot 40% this season and can actually dribble the ball further than 3 feet.

His backup PG was a foreign kid that was so incredibly terrible he couldnt even see the floor one year ago. Now hes made plays against every top player in the game.

He turned Korver from a part time player that couldnt defend into a 35 minute player who is a good defender and a focal point of the offense.

Hes also one of the best schematic coaches in the game.

Again, what has Kerr done? Taken arguably the most talented team in the NBA to a good record? Big whoop. Mark Jackson had 98 wins in GS in two years.....

Kerr turned a good team to a great team. And not just anybody can coach a talented team. That isn't easy.

And Bud turned an awful team into a great team. Thats much harder.

Again, Spoelstra is not a good coach but he has a ring and a lot of wins because of an epically talented team.

Steph Curry has proven everywhere he has been that he will win no matter what.
