ATL_DirtyBirds
PG - Teague/Schroder vs. Irving/DelladovaKyrie Irving is currently hurt, but who knows how he will be feeling with all the rest he is able to get until Wednesday. However even when healthy, Irving and Delladova can not prevent Teague and Schorder from driving. There has been a lot of love for Delladova as some defensive shut down guy, but I fully expect for Dennis to continue playing aggressive and scorch Delladova often. Teague if he is aggressive, should be able to take Irving to the cup at will and body him up. On defense, simply have to stay with Delladova and don't give him open shots. Depending on Irving's health, he could be a tough match up. No matter what though, he will be able to make open shots and should be scoring 15+ per game. Edge: Hawks SG - Korver/Bazemore vs. Shumpert/SmithIt would be great to see Korver start hitting down his threes. If he is not able to do that, it would make it harder on the rest of our team. If Korver is back to his regular self, or close to it, we should win this match up. However, Shumpert is a good defender and did a nice job on the offensive end against the Bulls. Both Shumpert and Smith can make open threes and Smith is going to shot a lot, if he is off this will be welcomed. Bazemore should be able to give Smith fits and if he can give us some points it would really help.Slight Edge: Cavs (if Korver keeps playing the way he is right now)SF - Carrol/Bazemore vs. James/JonesWe are not going to win this match up in any game (please let me be wrong). However, I think Carrol can really give Lebron a difficult time. Lebron likes to cheat a lot and if Demaree continues to make his open shots, he should be able to continue his scoring success in the playoffs. It is going to be a tough assignment for him to cover Lebron and if he can set the tone early, Demarre should be able to contain him. Need to also stay with James Jones and prevent him from beating us.Edge: CavsPF - Millsap/Scott vs. ThompsonThompson is limited offensively. The only concern I have with him, is his ability to be a beast on the boards. We need a huge effort from Millsap to prevent Thompson from giving the Cavs multiple offensive chances. Thompson does not want to come out and cover Millsap and this is where Millsap should kill Thompson. Millsap will have open shots and be able to drive against Thompson. Hopefully he steps up to the plate and is a reliable scorer we need.Edge: HawksC - Horford/Antic/Muscala vs. MozgovGo ahead and put the same discreption down for Mozgov. Limited offensivlely, but we need to keep him off the offensive glass. He does not want to come out and Horford should be able to knock down those mid range jumpers he loves. Hopefully Pero can be solid on defense since I know Bud is going to play him. Hope that Muscala gets some more minutes as he is a good rebounder.Edge: HawksCoaching: Budenholzer vs. BlattEdge: Hawks (nuff said)Fans/Crowd: Atlanta vs. ClevelandOn one side there are a bunch of fans who are fully behind their team and have something to prove just like the team they are rooting for. These fans have been waiting for a long time to have their voices heard and now is the time. These are the Atlanta Hawks fans that will chant "Lebron Sucks" and impact the game. youngbloodz
The Hawks definitely don't have the edge at PG.
Tweenthehedges
I agree with all but the Korver Shumpert matchup.... Shumpert has trouble with Korver otherwise it appears that we have a healthier team.... I would love to see the Hawks just own them.
Mr.11
The Hawks definitely don't have the edge at PG.I'm inclined to agree. Although Shroder is a better slasher, Dellavedova has a much better jumpshot, and that will be problematic if he can get it going in this series. As for Kyrie and Teague, well, that is pretty much a wash if Kyrie is healthy or at least 90%.

Tribal Chief
i would take Kyrie over Teague any day of the week. Kyrie can flat out put the ball in the hoopHe can but he has no clue what passing the ball is. I can see him trying to do too much this series. Teague knows how to a team ball
Macknsweetjones
The Hawks definitely don't have the edge at PG.Disagree, Dennis is better than Della when Dennis isn't being a **** head. Also kyrie is good offensively not defensively, he sucks and when it comes to passing he sucks, he's a shooting guard in a pg body. I've watched Jeff Teague vs kyrie...I've seen Jeff give kyrie everything he didn't want on the court.

Teague knows how to a team ballI was thinking that too. Heck, I'd venture to say that Dellavedova is a better distributor of the ball than Kyrie (in which case I don't understand why coach Blatt doesn't play them at the same time). Anyway, both Teague and Shroder have shown excellent court vision and can make plays for others. So I would put it like this:Distribution: Teague/ShroderScoring: Irving/Dellavedova Edited May 16, 2015 by JerseyNo12

Willy Mo
Dennis drives to score. He's not really a distributor unless he's making some silly highlight plays.
Mr.11
Dennis drives to score. He's not really a distributor unless he's making some silly highlight plays. No, he's actually pretty good in PnR and PnP and finding open guys on the perimeter and in the lane.
blkbigdog35
If Teague plays to his potential he's hands down the best floor leader. Bron is there point basically like young said he's more of a 2. We slow lebron then this team can be had. I don't forsee kk continue to struggle offensively I think these boys will be ready for the cavs.
AF89
They're will be points in this series where the Hawks have a 10+ point leads and I think the key for the Hawks is going to be for them to start proving they can hold these. We've already seen how the Cavs can get to a second half lead and play just well enough to make the rest of the game an equal push.Hawks meanwhile whether it's because they lose focus or just that the bench is just getting badly beaten they start falling into bad turnovers and giving up runs almost every single time it looks like they're about to put their foot on their opponent's throat and run away with it. AF89
And I don't care if it's Jeff, Dennis or even Shelvin, we need a PG to control the tempo, be aggressive to the basket and create open looks for everyone else or those will be the games we start really struggling to find baskets and against a team like Cle we probably lose. YoungHeezy
Dennis' on ball defense is trill. I don't expect many open looks for Dellevadova this series unless too much focus is put on LeBron and his dribble penetration.
thanat0s
i would take Kyrie over Teague any day of the week. Kyrie can flat out put the ball in the hoopAs a scorer, Irving is clearly better. However, shooting isn't even half the measure of a point guard. Do we have an advantage? Perhaps not, but at worst it's a draw. Jeff and Dennis give us 48 minutes of starter caliber production. Pero played 4 minutes to Moose's 12 last game. Pero was solid against Brooklyn struggled in this series against Wiz.It's all about matchups. It felt like more. Certainly wasn't the case for most of the series.
