saints4life25
I would agree with this, as a pure corner. Sherman is over rated. A product of a system. Tru is a shutdown corner. Sherman couldn't do what Tru does, but you have a hard time finding anyone that does what they're asked to better than Sherman.

SuperAINTSfan
Hahaha. Trufant has a ways to go to match what Sherman has done. Sherman is one of the best at what he does. He may not be good at man or whatever other technique but the one he plays, he is the close to the best.

saints4life25
^^^What does the first gif have to do with anything? Lol. The second one, you can't tell, but that's not even Lewis' man. He reacts after the ball is in the air and just misses the tip. Look up Jordy Nelsons stats in that game. Lewis shadowed him all night.

Second gif is the ball going directly over Lewis' hand and Cobb housing it. So who was Lewis covering on that play because there is NO OTHER RECEIVER in sight and Bush is a safety... SuperAINTSfan
It looks like he was covering and misplayed the ball. Not bad coverage.

So who was Lewis covering on that play because there is NO OTHER RECEIVER in sight and Bush is a safety...It was cover 2 zone. Lewis had the flat. Bush was supposed to play deep. When Lewis realized Cobb was running free he reacted. The ball had been thrown. He really wasn't supposed to be anywhere around the ball, according to his assignment. He started off across from Adams, who ran a short in. Lewis covered him. Once he crossed over into the LBs area, Lewis saw Cobb. He tried to recover, but couldn't. Biggest problem on that play was pass rush. Rodgers had time to make a sandwich.

That’s just not true. A 70-yarder (against Green Bay) went over his head and he was the closest guy to him, but that wasn’t even his play. So somebody needs to fix those."""Sure enough, PFF quickly made the fix, taking that 70-yarder away from Lewis’ tally."
