Eric Berry

Recommended Posts

So I did a quick Google search on his progress thus far. As a fan on the Volunteers of UTK he was and still is my favorite player in the teams history. Yes even over the great Peyton Manning.

Under Chavis the numbers he posted in his sophomore season were better the Charles Woodsons Heisman numbers and then entered Monte Kiffin.

Eric Berry was better then Earl Thomas and at one point number 2 overall behind Such on Kipers big board.

Monte Kiffin used Berry as Quinn used Chanceller and he exceled there as well but he was used incorrectly. A third season with Chavis would have guaranteed Berry shattering the all time NCAA record for turn over return yards by a very wide margin.

He hits like a truck. Takes away half the field and has beyond elite ball hawking skills. In the right system he could, no would, go down as the best safety to ever play and Quinns system is that system.

Things are looking good for Eric Scary and he is an unrestricted free agent in 2016. If he has beat cancer but still available its time we brought him back to his hometown.

I agree but its my dream for him to be here. Best chance is they feel the can do just as well without him and pass on giving him a contract but I would order my Berry jersey the day of his signing. The chiefs use him wrong. Anyone who grades him below other safties would change their mind if he made it to Atlanta.

Let me put it this way. I wanted to watch Tennessee on defense more then offense because he could score on any given play.

I don't know if I have anything to offer this message board until the season starts. Trade Trufant for berry...

I mean that takes the cake. God bless Eric Berry and I wish him a speedy recovery but not for footballs sake. Let the man live and worry ab life before worrying ab pads and a jersey.

No more berry threads please

One of the silliest suggestions that I've ever read on here. rolleyes.gif

almost as bad as Matt Ryan for Jake Locker.......................

as if the UGA homers on here aren't bad enough, now we got a Tennessee homer on here wanting all their players? LMAO

there's a reason they chose orange for their team colors, so the fans could wear the same shirt to the game on saturday, hunting on sunday and picking up trash on the highway during the week...........

I see that we are of the same mind on this, b/c, when I wrote that, my exact thought was that this is "Trade Matt Ryan for Jake Locker straight up" level silliness. laugh.png

I'm far more concerned with him living and recovering than where, or if, he ever plays football again.

I wish him all the best.

I had Berry as my top safety when he got hurt, I think Weddle's stellar year puts him a little ahead now, but he would be a great addition for us, still I imagine Kansas City would make a big push for him if he's healthy.

Big difference in being injured and fighting for your life because of cancer.
