Bigtime A
Bowden: I think its a consensus among Florida State fans and boosters that he was an embarrassment in a lot of ways to the university. He won a lot of ball games, probably one of the best football players that ever attended Florida State, but he hurt himself off the field. The good news is that hes young enough to get over that, ya know it? And hes gotta do that. But he just cant make those junior high school decisions that he made while he was in college.http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/05/bobby-bowden-jameis-winston-embarrassment-florida-stateI guess he didn't catch the news that Winston hasn't spent frivolously on a car yet? Rave
Lol...I already saw this. That should mean something to any FSU or Winston fan. Personally I'm a huge Bobby Bowdon fan.

Bigtime A
I saw this this morning. jb before you get them in a wad I say we give the kid a chance. Who cares what people are sayin' about the kid? Ultimately it is he that can dispel all the myths about himself if he plays well and is a pillar of the community!I bet JB won't post in this thread since there is no way he can spin it since it's a direct quote straight from Bowden, not a speculation from an anonymous "insider source" as is often the case. He started to lose it at the end of his career, but he really knew how to delegate, and be a head coach. He got to FSU the year after I moved here, and a all I ever heard around here was just how bad FSU was before '76.
jb 3.0
ok so, jameis winston regularly embarrassed himself and the school.we are already well aware of that as a national audience.i really wish he would have said something, literally anything, that we already didnt know universally.you can go line by line through that quip, and each sentence is something we knew before the draft. It's all about the dirty laundry. Just give the people what they want. That's what the article was about.
Falconcheff
Y'all got it wrong. BB's just saying what we all, including jb, know... that the kid was a great FSU football player, but has some maturity issues to get over OFF THE FIELD... which is probably one of the reasons jb posts positive articles about JW's off-field anecdotes.Personally, I think his maturity level will keep him from realizing his football potential in the NFL... at least for... 4 years? Maybe that's when the light will go off for him. I don't see it, but I'm not gonna say "never..."

He's saying and doing all the right things..........for now.I wanna see how he handles himself during the season and after this season. I have a feeling he's gotten it through his head that the entire football watching world is watching and waiting for him to say or do something stupid. But, you are correct about me posting the positive articles about the kid.
