Tuggle'2
Yeah so I am bored and it is late. Figured maybe I could get some chat going. I will start with something that has been on my mind. Do you guys think Hester sticks around and if he doesn't who would be the return man? Any of the rookies any good?

Tuggle'2
Julio put something on his Facebook that made me think about Hester. They both seem to be enjoying the off season and working out hard as usual.
Jigglypuff
I can't see why get rid of a great punt returner except salary reason
GoodnightATL
I think he'll stick simply because his cap number isn't restrictive and he does shift field position simply by reputation. He does have a battle for that slot position though as I think the lack of an ideal TE will force us to run more from 11 personal so a slot receiver that can block adds more value to the position. Blocking is suppose to be a strength of both Hank and Hardy

I think it would be pretty darn stupid myself.

I am sure regardless of title he will still get some targets.

I think it would be pretty darn stupid myself.Yeah people who say you shouldn't be paying a return guy that type of money are really underestimating the value he holds for a ST coach. A lot easier to set if you know which direction the other team is punting setting aside if he actually returns the thing. Football is not just offence and D. I think that's another thing that Quinn will bring with him... The importance of ST as Seattle play a lot of their superstars on that unit
Tribal Chief
Hester can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. He's nothing more than a return guy. I don't care about his salary. He just isn't a good receiver. I like guys with good hands. If they need a return man they can use reedy
Bobby.Digital
Why would we get rid of Hester? We're not in need of cap room and he's the best return man we've had in a long time. He was also solid in the passing game and could fill in incase of injury (slot).

RING OF HONOR
I say keep him...but if we do....I think he will be strictly a returner...maybe a few gimmick plays on offense...he can forget about starting at the slot or even the 4th wide-out spot...if we were in cap trouble..i could see him getting cut.. He's far to Inconsistent as a receiver to call him a weapon in the passing game. You certainly don't have to agree

I'm not his greatest fan as a receiver but for this season he has value as a returner and 4/5th WR slot. We're not in any cap trouble so no harm with keeping him IMO. Next season is a whole different issue. I really hope Hardy nails down that slot position.

If anything Hankerson has the upper leg at the moment due to knowledge of the system and is good as long as he's healthy. There will be a great 4 wr set with hank, Hardy, Julio and Roddy on the field. I'm sure Hester will have his certain plays as well but his biggest contributions come from special teams which is fine if that's what you like. Hashbrown3
Hesta to the house!! Def worth keeping. Good vet who has a few more good returns in him. He can teach whomever we decide will be his future replacement in the return game. He'll have a tougher time getting WR time. But the old man was definitely a factor with his speed/quickness last year after he caught the ball.
Hashbrown3
Awesome puppy!! It's tough having to discipline those pups cuz their so dam cute. But doing so will make the little fella so much more enjoyable as he grows up into doghood LOL!! Edited May 13, 2015 by HASHBROWN3

Yes they will have a few plays in the playbook that spread wide but for the most part we won't use many WR outside if Julio and Roddy. Hankerson and Hardy will be behind Hester. If one of our players gets injuried then we will see them get PT. Hankerson is banged up and IMO a waste of roster space. He won't be able to contribute to our offense. Hardy will have to learn the system and build that trust with Ryan. Hardy has a long road ahead of him before we can consider him a reliable option, he has to work on not drop so many passes.
