Brady Suspended 4 Games, Pats Lose 1St Round Pick In 2016, Fined $1 Mill

I don't know

If Garoppolo plays good enough, that could be the beginning of the end of Brady as a Pat in the near future.

Brady will be 38 before the season starts and the Pats will be looking towards the not too distant future.

no way they don't start Brady in their 5th regular season game no matter how great Jimmy played the previous 4 games

The Patriots lost a first round pick for spygate and Ray Rice didn't play last season so how exactly where those light penalties?

Goodell's did Kraft a solid by destroying the tapes. Why would he do that? Maybe because the Patriots were spying on other teams aside from the Jets?

As for Rice, Goodell's did Biscotti a favour by suspendeding him for two games. He tried to extend it when fans and media were outraged. Then tried to tell us that Rice lied to him as justification for extending his ban, even though Rice told him everything (because he thought Goodell's had seen the elevator video). The fact that Rice didn't play last year is irrelevant, he didn't play because teams didn't want the media circus, not because of anything done by Goodell.

Brady will comeback and start, but he could be coming back with his days as the Pats QB for the near future in real jeopardy.

Belichick is known for getting rid of player a year or two too early, rather than a year or two too late.

If Garoppolo comes in and shows that he can win games while looking impressive, then he could make Brady expendable a season or two down the line.

i can see that happening now. Brady already said he might not end his playing career in a Pats uni

IMO, Brady will appeal and the NFL's poor record in the courts will continue because Brady will get this reduced to two games. Garoppolo will barely get a chance to impress.

Its because Brady didn't cooperate, they are repeat offenders, and because it was found out in a playoff situation which could harm the integrity of the game.

You're probably right, but why would he trust the NFL with his private information?

Not enough of a penalty for them?

There should be a fine at most. It's all circumstantial. Even if he asked to have the balls deflated there is no evidence that he asked it to be deflated to below legal PSI.

This is another case of Goodell punishing based on Public Sentiment, and not on facts. There were no documented measurements, everything was based off a ref's memory and 2 inaccurate pressure gauges.

Brady's reaction and laughing in response to the questions given about the situation during that partially televised interview last week really didn't do the Pats any favors either.

I wanted him gone for the whole season too. He's a repeat offender.

proof that he has done anything else. Can't blame spygate on him.

Part of the team. Conspiracy. You (in person) don't have to be the individual doing it, but your association and knowledge makes you guilty.

Brady represents the organization. The Organization is repeat offenders, so that makes Brady a repeat offender. He represent the organization.

Sorry, he's not a repeat offender imo. Anywho, he got 4 games, team lost picks and a fine. Be relieved and rejoice

Why rejoice? They're not in our conference. If anything, be afraid, because this charging people without actual evidence under the guise of "well he probably did it" could come and haunt us in the future.

Probability is the standard of proof in every court in this country for most civil actions. This notion that "probably" isn't good enough is frankly ridiculous.

Brady hasn't had the opportunity to face his accusers in court yet. The NFL haven't proven he did anything. They have a case, that is it.

so you have no proof he was apart of spygate. I'm sure he knew. But unless he told those guys to videotape it you can't say he was apart of something. That would be like Matt Ryan getting suspended cause of what happened with the fake noise. I'm sure he knew about it. But he can't control it

Jesus dude your statement totally contradicts itself. "You have no proof" yada yada, "I'm sure he knew about it but can't control it" Yada.... wow, Brady is that you?

Whoa! That's painful for the Pats.

Not the pick. It's steep - but the Pats always have an abundance of picks. As for the money - losing the $1 mil won't devastate them either - they have the money.

Losing Brady for 4 games - that's painful for them.

The 4 game checks probably Brady doesn't blink an eye lid at either.

Man I understand competitive advantage and all but what does this do to Brady's and the Patriots ethos they are supposed to be that organisation that seems to be ahead of the rest but now with this does this leave a bad stain on history for this team.
