Is that true?If so, we should still be at least $10M under right? If we're $10M under what would you do? Sign some FAs, extend some players or carry over?I know. One post. Six questions. What you think? Seven.

Six questions. What you think? Seven.Yes, total will be under $7 but only about $2.75 will actually affect the cap space so we'll still have around $14 million left.Having said that, I'd get Julio's extension done and add in a huge roster bonus this year to lessen the prorated guaranteed money and save money against future cap years. I'd also leave a chunk for carry over.

Would we be better off letting Julio play out his rookie deal and franchising him next year if he balks at a Dimi lowball deal? Then franchising him a second time if he balks again? I mean we gave up five picks for dude. Then went 33-31 with him on the roster.I know many will say you sign your best players and show loyalty instead of pissing em off with FTags, but many franchises take that route. Especially with WRs.Ask Abe, Grimes, Turner, Clabo, Mud Duck, Dahl, Smitty, Nolan, Kutty, Mularkey and BVG about Falcon loyalty. The Troff Hammer is real. Trust me. takeitdown
I love the value of 2nd round picks. What should be a really solid player at 1M/yr? Very nice.On the cap space, I hope they spend some, and put the rest toward Ryan's bonus. They don't have to paint themselves into a corner with Julio. They can just reduce the cap hit of Ryan the next few years and accomplish the same thing.

One of those that can go either way...

One of those that can go either way...I'd rather be the market setters. Since Dallas will be willing to shell out the bucks for Dez, and Green will also demand alot of money. I believe in this case it would be beneficial to the Falcons. Whereas waiting till next year will be beneficial to Julio.
KRUNKuno
Falcons 2nd-round pick Jalen Collins got a $2,207,516 signing bonus as part of a four-year, $5,427,835 deal. Has $3,324,236 guaranteed.A signing bonus is basically extra money on top of the contract, right?

What this information tells me is that there's probably some more than minimum base salaries in the contract. Once the base salaries are put into the NFLPA database, I'll know more about the deal. Romfal
good example of why LaEl Collins didnt want to get drafted past the 3rd round. The difference from a 4th round salary to a 7th is 500k over 4 years. He makes between 50 and 75k less a season as a UDFA compared to a 7th, but he can get a good deal to make up for everything a year sooner.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lornoth
Seems weird how close the upper picks and 7'th rounders are in salary nowadays. Hardy is barely making more than King and Rodgers.

But lookin back on it in TATF hindsight, Give me Dez over Spoon. One pick. Filter be damned. Swift was right.I'm cut from the Dan Reeves cloth. FalconFanSince1970
OK. yall boys might ban me on this one, but Swift was here long before yall got here.At least fifteen years ago. Gotta defend him in his absence.Yeah he needed some counseling, but how do you ban a TATF lifer? Come on man. If you run the analytics he probably generated more traffic on TATF than anybody in the history of TATF.Looking back on everything he said, he was more right than wrong. True story.Free Swift, Swifty, Swift Hitter and the 47 alts yall forced him to use. Shame, shame, shame.A bonafide Atlanta Football Falcon Fan. Before some of yall were born. I don't give a rats behind how long Swift or anyone was here. If a person comes on and starts blasting other posters wives and family they are gone. Won't think twice about it. Shame on anyone who supports that kind of behavior too. It wasn't just some banter back and forth either, it was some vile nasty stuff. That isn't why we are here. If people are looking to have their wives and families crapped on then find another site, cause it doesn't fly here.
Francis York Morgan
I supported a lot of Swift's views (including the ones on Ryan, 2012 is where he started winning me over), but the dude said some really messed up stuff, from personal attacks on other posters to attacks on Ryan's wife. Just out of hate. And this isn't the BS you call personal attacks when people disagree with you, he was legitimately attacking others. Seniority should never be a reason to not moderate others. How did #1 Pick get banned btw? I wasn't on the boards nearly as much when he got the boot, I don't remember him really attacking others. We had some good talks.
