Trouble
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/08/wilson-seahawks-apparently-far-apart/Id trade him if i had to for the picks. QB price is getting insane. Your not gonna be able to field a team if the price keeps going up.But if i was owner id tell his agent it isnt gonna happen and put the trade rumors out there next season. No QB is worth that type of money. If he does get a raise it should be incentive based. Like winning another ring that the odds are stacked against him doing. Even with Graham. SaintsFanInLA
Wilson GREATLY benefits from the best defense and a Top 3 runningback, arguably the #1. Two of the three greatest things needed for a QB to be successful (outside of his own abilities), the third being a beast of an O-line. I like Wilson, he can scramble out of a pocket and extend a busted play, he can also deliver downfield on the run pretty accurately but I am not sure that if you remove Beastmode Lynch and the Legion of Boom, if he would be a Top 10 QB. He MIGHT be, but I don't know. The kid is dynamite with all of the tools around him. He is clutch.

The Seahawks should put their foot down and let the agent know they got other talent to pay as well. I think we can all agree Wilson benefits greatly from the talent around him. So Wilson shouldnt be the only one getting paid the farm.

SaintRay
He deserves to be paid like a Top 5 QB. His resume is there.
DD: Objective Elite
There's two types of teams in the NFL. Those that pay their franchise QB'S market value and those that wish they could.

Falconcheff
If the Seahawks didn't know this was coming and didn't plan for it, they are just plain ign'nt... Everyone one the planet knew Wilson was going to go from 600K to 20Mil this year...
Trouble
He deserves to be paid like a Top 5 QB. His resume is there. No doubt. But not a new number 1. Qb prices are crazy. But I agree he deserves too 5 pay.

Pretty sure I would invest in this kid if I were the Hawks...

Pretty sure I would invest in this kid if I were the Hawks...Yeah, that's what I am saying. He MIGHT deserve the money but then again he MIGHT not. He has INCREDIBLE weapons and tools around him. I would wager that a large percentage of QBs would thrive handing the ball off to Lynch and having The Legion of Boom as their defense. The play action alone affords him precious seconds to scan the secondary. The kid maybe a GREAT QB, he's already won a SB and was one BONEHEADED play call away from winning another but without those incredible tools (WHICH WILL SOON REQUIRE PREMIUM PAYMENT AS WELL), I just don't know how good he really is. nola90
He hasn't carried your team, how do you pay him top qb money? None of the top 5 have had the level of running game AND defense to go with the qb in their tenure that Wilson has had. I'd take a high 1st and a mid-first for him in a heartbeat. It is not his fault he was put in the situation he is in.

SuperAINTSfan
I'd rather see him collect the money than these greedy *** owners get it.p.s. Yes that DoD payment has really pissed me off.
Big Bubba
In ten years, Qbs will probaby be getting contracts that avg around $40M-$45M a year.As long as dumbarses keep the myth alive that Team wins = QB Stat. Their paychecks will continue to dwarf every other position.Honestly.......... I think a static $15M/yr is a good price for any qb. Then every 5 years, increase the static yearly avg by $1M. Rave
I think they just need a base salary for every position. Then give bonuses for performance. Like so much for leading a statistical category. I think that would be fair and keep contracts reasonable.

I think that would be fair and keep contracts reasonable.I have thought about this but then you'd have stuff like folks pitching fits when they don't get the ball FOR REAL because it affects their pockets. Why did THIS RB get the rock, when I didn't?! Why did THIS WR get that play and not me. Folks would really be playing the opposite of Hero Ball.
