Steel City Falcon
Grady Jarrett is my favorite selection out of this draft class hands down. Don't get me wrong. Beasley is great and I'm very excited about his pass rush potential. But Grady Jarrett is a special player in the same mold as Jurrell Casey, Geno Atkins and Aaron Donald. They are all the same height 6'1 and all between 300-310 lbs. They all gap penetrators that are quicker and stronger than you think (5.06 40 yd dash, 30 reps 225lbs) that play with great leverage and urgency. In my opinion Jarrett will have a very respectable year production wise compared to where he was drafted. I can easily see him having 3-5 sacks, 10-15 TFL, and a bunch of QB hurries. Anyone else feel this way??
Southsacfalcon
Can't wait to see this guy on the field with hageman, Jarrett is by far my favorite pick. I wanted Donald so bad last year

atljbo
We are very lucky to have him... The Bengals was about to take him in the 4th round... It was between Hardison and Jarrett ... They went with the guy with the better measurables but they said it was a hard close choicehttp://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Hobsons-Choice-draft-call/dbd7b098-07cd-4280-af41-07a3a4532df5I talked to one guy who thought the toughest call for the Bengals all day was at 135 between Hardison and Clemson nose tackle Grady Jarrett. They loved Jarrett as a guy and his consistency and fire, but they were also enamored of the junior college-bred Hardison’s huge upside with his 4.8 big man 40 and his emergence in his last eight games at Arizona State with seven sacks. Tough call, but at that point in the draft, it’s usually more about upside.
HEIST
Daniel Jeremiah (former Ravens scout w/ NFL Network) gave Grady Jarrett a "red star." During his days with the Ravens, the scouts would get together before the draft and give prospects either a black dot or a red star. Black dot means "stay far far away from this guy," and red star means "I want this guy on my team no matter what." Also AJ Cann described Grady Jarrett as the toughest DLineman he's ever had to face. So pumped.
PrimitiveJN
I'm happy to have him seeing as how we got him in the 5th and all I could think about at the time were the mocks around here that has him going in the 2nd round and even earlier. T-peg
It's rare to see us draft someone where I don't see many people bashing him. Must be special. Can't wait to see this guy on the field with hageman, Jarrett is by far my favorite pick. I wanted Donald so bad last yearBut seriously I'm with you. Hags and Jarrett together actually makes me very excited about this defense. I'm a defensive guy, I love watching QB's get hammered or look ruffled and rushing throws. We have enough talent in the secondary to really create some turnovers. Jarrett may not have been our first pick, but dang it, he will be one of our first studs. From a talent evaluation standpoint I respect Marvin Lewis and his team.I don't know who was more happier that we drafted him, me or Paul Worrilow
Tribal Chief
Has great potential and will possibly be a starter by next season, if the highlight reel play carries over. Coleman was my favorite pick though.
Psychic Gibbon
I'm keeping my expectations tempered with him since players fall for a reason, but I do love his potential in this system. If he flops then I won't be surprised but if Cox whips him, Beasley, and Hageman into shape...

atlGM
I think Jarrett means the end of babs run in Atlanta. Unless there was something major that caused him to slip that I don't know about his tape says starter material. I am very excited to see what he and hageman can do on the field together. I'm not a Beasley guy but if those two can create the kinda havoc in the middle that they've shown in their college careers Beasley speed on the edge should be a perfect complement
