dozer
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution projects Tevin Coleman as 1A on the depth chart and Devonta Freeman as 1B.Coleman, the third-round rookie out of Indiana, brings superior physical skills to the table. The diminutive Freeman will remain in the mix as a change-of-pace option and potential third-down back. Homerun hitter Antone Smith also figures to get some chances. But as long as Coleman keeps his nose in front of this committee, he'll have serious upside thanks in large part to the presence of run-game guru Kyle Shanahan. Source: Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionMay 5 - 9:21 AM "Coleman is a one cut runner who displays elite burst off of one cut primarily due to his hip flexibility. He gets into his second gear very quickly then tends to outrun the second level defenders." Shuswap
Should have the makings of a decent backfield next year. freeman showed flashes toward the end of the season last year so it should be a decent commoitee at worst.

JiveAF
Clevelands playbook used a lot of two RB back fields.
droopy1592
Freeman diminutive? Aren't they about the same weight?
Jigglypuff
Freeman diminutive? Aren't they about the same weight?yeah when I look at them Freeman has a wider base but he's a bit slower so if he put on more weight I dont know how much speed he would lose. Coleman looks more like a sprinter

dozer
funny the link refers to Ohio state preparing for coleman... never tells you the outcome. He torched them for like 250 and 3 scores lolYeah, I was curious too, that's why I posted his stats @ the bottom of my post. Here's a link to his 2014 game log: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/2979477/type/college/tevin-coleman
Francis York Morgan
or 26 for 138... Which is still goodThat definitely wasn't his statline against OSU, I remember 3-4 big runs and one was for 90 yards.
Adam25
I'm so pumped to see that battle at camp, Freeman won't back down for sure, but in the end I think Coleman will just be a straight beast and rejuvenate the run game (which we need badly).
Tony Diesel
I would probably give Coleman a slight edge on Freeman but we know they will split the carries. May the best back win! Also, the source is Bedwetter, so there is no source.
JBridgez
Freeman is definitely a quality starter at RB. He may even start game 1...but after that, I find it hard to imagine a prototypical 3-down back like Coleman not being our lead back. Elite Speed cannot be taught and he's much larger than Antone
dozer
My guess is whichever RB can pu the blitz in pass protection will get the most PT. Sooner or later I think it will be Coleman w/ Freeman spelling him.
Bawse
I think Coleman is our guy. He'll win out in camp but Freeman will still play a huge part in our game. Shanahan has a good bit in mind it seems.

Jigglypuff
That definitely wasn't his statline against OSU, I remember 3-4 big runs and one was for 90 yards.lol I'm saying take out the outliers. It's a principal of statistical analysis... you go to a certain level of standard deviations and exclude anything outside that range. Do you get it now?
