Deep2Julio
But in 2013, a UGA alumni, Jarvis Jones, was wanted by a ton of people on this board. Much like Gurley. Jones has went on to post 58 tackles, 3 sacks, one forced fumble, four defended passes, and 11 games started total over two seasons. Nothing spectacular for the spot he was taken.Just because they're from UGA, doesn't mean they'll be good. Stop crying over Gurley. Beasly baby! Bawse
Gurley is going to be a beast. Over 1000 yards next year. Remember I said that.

nbostp
Just remember, I said that. Unless Todd Gurley would be able to sack the QB, I don't care how many yards he runs for.

Dr_truth189
I don't get why people Root for the kid to fail. It's pretty well documented how good of a person he is. Sure he took some money, but he was always cool with fans and everyone around him. He's not on our team, and yes I think 10 was too high of a pick just given his injury, but to sit around behind a computer and wish injury on the guy is a pretty horrible thing to do. I don't think anyone wished injury on Gurley. A prediction and a wish are two totally different things.

GeorgiaBoyz
No one said because he was from UGA that will make him good same with Jarvis. Both put up great production in the same state as our Falcons so why wouldn't some of us locals like/want him? I didn't won't Gurley at all but it's tiring seeing you clowns attempt to make a mockery of him like he won't be good because a few here wanted him or because he went to UGA. Have you not read these boards over the past months?

The Martyr
Let's go back a second, I know Gurley is gonna be a beast, but do the falcons really need another offensive weapon at 8? Our defense let Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings put up 41 against us. Is that not enough reason to try and get these guys some help? Have you not read these boards over the past months?Yes I've read the Gurley madness but truth be told who cares? Majority of this board is ignorant when it comes to the sport for the most part let alone the stuff that goes on behind the scenes pertaining to drafting, FA, etc. Would he have been great on the Falcons? Yes! Not because he's from UGA. Would it have made sense for us to draft him at 8? **** no. Anyone with any sense knows our passrush/defense as a whole was priority, ideas attempting to address anything outside of that early in the draft was comical, wasn't even worthy of being entertained. Ovie_Lover
Gurley wasn't injured every year at UGA, and is a much better talent than Jarvis (UGA fan here) but with that said I still didn't want him at

Our defense let Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings put up 41 against us. Is that not enough reason to try and get these guys some help?Ten players from that defense are gone bro. We have a new coach and a new scheme. We signed six free agents. We could have taken Gurley and still drafted four more defenders. Even after signing our draft class we will still have at least $10M to sign a couple more free agents. So just stop with the 32nd ranked defense bush it. Francis York Morgan
More likely he will be injured. Like he was every single year at Georgia.Injured all the dang time in HS too. People talk about how easy the ACL healed, but when people say he's injury prone, he's seriously been injury prone since he started playing football pretty much. And running behind the Rams line (even with the upgrades) will suuuck. They'll stack the box, they know they don't have a passing game. I'd argue Nick Foles isn't as good as Sam Bradford. I actually like Bradford a lot though. I still can't believe they took Jamon Brown, I mean, he's solid, but not a round 3 tackle at all, and I'd argue not even guard. He got bullied by Eli Harold and Bud Dupree. Havenstein that early in the 2nd is a joke.I'll bet Tevin Coleman has a better year than Gurley. Any takers? Or do you think Biermann is finally gonna come around and get 10 or more sacks this year? We needed a top tier pass rusher, and there is no soon to become free agent that could be that guy.
