So, Do The Falcons Like The Olineman On The Roster Or Did They Just Not Like The Ones Available

Recommended Posts

When they picked?

I hope no Olineman taken by now means the Falcons are planning on the guys on the curent roster to be healthy and good.

They may be planning to snag a couple of Jun 1 cuts.

I hope whatever they do, they're right. Love to see Ryan have a solid Olineman and run game to work with.

I think the other picks were all of such high value that we just couldn't choose otherwise. We had too many holes to possibly fill all of them in the draft, but we did as well as could possibly be expected. I suspect we will now address the OL with some undrafted free agents and some post June 1st cuts.

It simply means that another draft has come and gone

with TD Ignoring the Lines.

He continues to build based on Flash, and Quinn bought a bill of goods.

It is now time dor Dim itroff to GTFO Atlanta!

Really.....?

I think this team need one year in The ZBS to see what we have. Then we can draft some guys to complement the existing players that are doing well in the new scheme.

Good topic, I was wondering the same thing. IMO, I think we need help on the OL and was disappointed we didn't get one (haven't seen our 7th yet). BUT, I really like all the picks aside from the Collins pick where I liked Rowe better. I get that he could've been a 1st rounder and has promise and upside, I just liked Rowe at that spot. We still have FA money left and praying we get someone especially with May cuts looming (June cuts bumped up to mid-May I believe). I don't trust Schraeder's pass protection and who is starting at LG??? Baker?? If that's the plan, I don't trust Baker with health or being moved inside.

They should just draft Collins in the 7th, We drafted a rapist the other year so why not a murder "suspect" This year

I agree. If he doesn't play then it's a 7th. If he does then we got a potential first rounder six rounds later.

Guys, if there is ever in the history of TATF a guy that believes in a strong offensive line, it is me. I absolutely, positive believe that it is THE most important part of any NFL team .... but even I love, love this draft. I'm sure we wanted to draft OL help, but each of our picks were of such high value we simply had to do what we did. We still have plenty of opportunities to get some OL help in undrafted free agents and post June 1 cuts.

Collins said he wouldn't sign a contract if drafted after the 3rd round.

Well Collins is an Idiot, cause he wont be a first rounder next year if he even gets drafted at all this year or next. He should read up on Matt Harrington the baseball kid who tried doing that crap.

We're good at LT, C, RG, and RT as far as I'm concerned. LG is making me a bit nervous since they seem to be relying on Konz, Baker, or Person to step up there and, needless to say, I don't have much confidence in them. They may fit better in a ZBS but... eh...

You're comfortable with Schraeder? He scares me in pass protection. The ZBS I think he'll perform well in run blocking.

I think that Person is a better signing than most of us have realized. He is not a power-gap guy, but he may turn out well in our system.

Baker is often injured...to often, but, when healthy, can move. He is a candidate for LG.

Konz grew up in a ZBS. Let's see if he can finally step up.

once we did not take an OLineman in the 2nd, it was pretty much over.

I liked OT's Humphries and Ogbuehi (went in 1st round - thought they would last til our 2nd)

I liked OG Laken Tomlinson (went in 1st round - thought he would last until 2nd)

I liked OG AJ Cann (went in 3rd before our pick)

I liked OG/C/OT Mitch Morse (went in 2nd round - WOW! - thought he would last until 4th)

these guys went EARLIER than thought.
