Jake Rodgers

Position: Offensive Line

Height: 66″

Weight: 315

Experience: 12 games started for Washington State at various OL positions. Transferred to Eastern Washington and played in 10 games with four starts in 2013. Started 14 games in 2014 at RT.

Accolades: 2014 FCS Offfensive Line First Team All-American

Games Watched: Montana, Montana State, Illinois State, Northern Arizona

Chad Dinkins Projected Round: 6-UDFA

Pros

Rodgers is an athletic player who has moved around the offensive line throughout his career at both WSU and EWU. He shows great hands that are connected to his feet when he moves. Possesses adequate power when engaged with the athletic ability to get to the second level, and displays a nastiness when run blocking.

Cons

Played offensive tackle at EWU during an All-American season, but projects as a guard at the next level. His movements are stiff versus quick edge rushers. He gets off balancing by lunging when blocking outside. He needs to play with leverage more consistently rather than trying to overpower each player naturally.

Overall

Rodgers is an athletic player with good feet who excelled at the FCS level after competing at a young age at the FBS level. He was a tight end and all-state post player in high school, which translated to the football field with his smooth footwork. He needs to increase his strength, but has the ability and size to move inside and add depth to an offensive line, and possibly work into a starting role down the line.

I haven't been paying attention since the Jake Rodgers pick but Darryl Roberts is good sized super athletic CB who had a ton of pass deflections last year. Would be nice o take him.

Someone, somewhere found some dirt on Tre McBride, or he interviewed with teams really poorly...

A 6'0" 210lb WR that ran 4.41 and jumped 38" VJ is quite athletic...I know lower competition, but still...I'm very curious

Cody Prewitt would be a nice pick here.

saw a report that said that teams thought that Prewitt had played to not get hurt in 2014 and that turned them off of him

he was great in 2013 though
